BLIZZARD

BLIZZARD

blue Monday morning
and 12 inches overnight
the pillow so deep
and outside is white white white
oh for one more hour to sleep

- Some Crayons -

Blue Monday
they say
A green tuesday,
we celebrate birthday
The color red is wednesday,
an ordinary working day
Thursday, I paint yellow
my neighbor plays cello
Black Friday
... stay away !
Saturday is purple,
we are together as a couple
Finally a pink sunday
a lovely day, do you agree ?

BLUE MONDAY

Christmas was fabulous, so full of festive cheer Santa brought presents; his sleigh pulled by six reindeer Hubby loved the glass tankard he got for his beer I got a pretty jumper it’s made of cashmere, and a book of poetry by William Shakespeare Soon champagne corks popped to welcome in the New Year Cousin Billy swung from the crystal chandelier - you should have heard him howl when he fell on his rear! January blues are filling people with fear Huge credit card bills are beginning to appear If the sum isn’t paid the penalties are severe It may take till next Christmas for the debt to clear! 12 X 12 Monorhyme Contest Sponsored by John Hamilton Checked with how many syllables Blue Monday is the third Monday in January and is said to be the most depressing day of the year. The weather is often dull, the festivities are over, and the bills from Christmas start to come in and New Year's resolutions have often failed! 01~16~17

Budding my head

The aged guy popped into my office earlier today,
With swift leers and keyed up insolence,
He took a seat untold, remember the parallel pew is always at liberty!
I wouldn’t even greet lest spoil the bad news he had lower than his smiles high,
But thanks then, no bad news was it,
“Mpho, you are fired” he said
I gave a knocked for six grin then evened out my brow lines
“Why?” I asked!

He supped from a glass of carbonated brew I had by the table front,
Probably suspected it to be liquor,
The cold trekked from outside the cup as it hurried to the mottled floor,
Then he cleared his throat kgm-kgm
“What are you working on?” he asked
“Typing, a book, a collection of poems” I responded
“What should you be working on?” he asked
And I didn’t answer back, it quite obvious
I should be debugging a code for some software package plug-in
“What should you be working on?” He asked again
“Debugging a code” I said blandly

“Meet Mr Fitzman, editor in chief, GoodBook publishers, Haven Way, God’s kingdom”
Mr Fitzman, a short “black and white” noble man in a composed dress suit
And I like his attitude, he’s straight to the point!
“Here is your publishing contract sir” said Mr Fitzman
I was about to sign on the dotted line
When Tamajobe slapped in through my ruined lumber door
“Dandy, e chaile ya sgela, vasa kao fast re vaye”
“It’s a blue Monday for me” I said setting my head back against the pad!
Like TJ I should hate dreams but prefer nightmares…

Soft Music 101

Listening to a lot of soft music is seriously relaxing and soothing. And when he or she is listening to that type of music, it's as if he or she's driving throughout the entire city until sunrise. Soft music consists of "Take My Hand," "Don't Slide," and Sand In My Shoes" by Dido Armstrong, "Blue Monday" by Flunk, and other artists. Although the music may put others to sleep (but it's not that bad and all), but the music is still relaxing. I wonder if there's going to be more artists to record some soothing music? I guess I'll never know.

how to save the emperor of china

hey china
there is a group of chinese terrorists torturing other chinese people
your emperor is a hostage to this situation

family and friends of the victoms
phone everyone with the same last name as the victom and tell
could have been you

pick a color and day
ie blue monday
show your support wearing that color on that day.

Blue Monday poppycock

Blue Monday! Poppycock.
By Stanley Russell Harris
The new mad author
& A Poetry Soup Honourably Mentioned Poet

It’s Monday shout hip hip hooray.
You’re alive on this now new day.
A start of week, it is, it’s true.
Open your minds all of you.

Many laying, in graveyards today!
Would swap with you, your place, I say.
Mind you, seeing all our problems today!
They might just change back, I say.

Be happy, positive of mind as well.
Soon we will leave the EU as well.
And if that thought makes you unwell.
Never mind, as EU soon will be unwell.

If you thought I would say, will be hell.
Well you were wrong as it is now.
I mean give refuge to people now.
What do some do? Blow us up as well.

But hey, it’s Monday, and I don’t mind.
Last week, is now left behind.
A new one is now here.
So cheer your mind as Monday’s here.

Once more our local radio inspired me. The conversation was about today
16-1-17 being Blue Monday people were getting over Christmas, receiving the statement for the overspend on their credit cards. Thinking of a diet to lose the Christmas spread and weight gain. And it was the start of another working week. Also they were discussing problems with our NHS and affaires of the mind, mental health. What joy lol

Blue Monday

I watch the news,
Tired and sad,
People kneeling on shattered pews,
Praying relatives weren’t hit badly.
Some were lost,
Others gone,
Some to safety,,,
Others to their homes,
Only to be claimed by the beast,
That struck Monday morn.
Blue Monday,
Never to be forgotten,
Always in our memories.
None who were hurt,
Will ever forget,
The monster named Katrina,
That slew the Gulf Coast,
With a single hard blow,
On a dark, cold
Blue Monday.

What is in a Name

What is in a Name ! ?
-----------------------
I have been walking the hallways of, and have to say,
" this has been one long and very Blue Monday. "
I think of the Beauty in your name Xiao Ling. -
( Xiao, meaning the dawning - dawn of a beautiful day )
( Ling meaning the exquisite - a lovely voice to sing ) -
of all that is beautiful, exotic and good.

This day, I seem unable to see - but if only I could
leave these blinding Blues behind.
If only I might be able to find
among - a little peace of mind !

If only my thoughts, my words, would bring forth
all the beauty in you - that comes with your name.
I feel the innocence in the dawn, the twilight of your days.
I love all I see, I feel in your funny little ways.
When I look into your soul, I see of coarse,
not one - like so many - who plays the game .

What lies hidden inside morning drops of dew,
refract into rainbows from the hiding place within you
and my Blues dissipate, true light comes into view
and my sad world becomes a place beautiful and new.

Blue Monday

Raining,
Damp,
Cool,
No sunlight,
True, blue Monday

Blue Monday

When those shades of grey, turn a Monday blue,
and tears from heaven, soak the holey shoe.
The soul of the day, will fall from favor,
with the distant sound, of a lightning saber.

The day so dismal, with a kidnapped sun,
though it passes by, still we come undone.
For when suffering, time travels so slow,
yet it's all a part, of the greater show.

The courtesan clouds, reveal a late sky,
that fiery light, in a lover's eye.
If then comes the rain, to ruin your day,
stop and remember, when life came to play!
