Black Bottom Biafra

A child is born in the heart of Biafra
in the midst of a war-torn, hungry, and poor world.

A difficult existence and a heartless fate
even just getting through the gruel every day is a struggle.

Their frail, little frame
without anything to eat and nowhere to sleep.

Once brilliant eyes that are now dull and depressing.

They cry as they experience the anguish
Their innocence was taken away
their youth was snatched
forced to continue and to mature too quickly.

There is no time to fantasize or play.

In such a harsh environment, it's just endless toil
They are responsible for the failure of the system
Where venomous corruption and greed have taken hold
They live in a world that ignores their predicament
and abandons them to endure their suffering in the pitch-black night.
The suffering kid of Biafra
Their anguish was in vain, and their pleas went unnoticed.

A fact that cannot be denied.

Their suffering is genuine, and the future is uncertain
Therefore, let's remember the Biafran child.

Because of their genuine struggle and excruciating anguish.

May we cooperate to provide them with relief,
Additionally, give them a chance to live a life based on faith.

The Indigenous People of Biafra

The indigenous people of biafra
Every poeple has a right of an identification
Every poeple has a right to live
among themselves by themselves
If they so wish to isolates from an old identity
Hi friends have you ever had of biafra
A new nation is about to be born in africa
So to all biafrans
As you fight for freedom
Never gave up your right

The indigenous poeple of biafra
The country nigeria is a British colony
Before the existence of the name nigeria
 first exists biafra
We are older than nigeria
We are a people from the supreme
We have our traditions
And our religion is truth (ofor)
We lived peacefully on our land
before the arrival of the hunters
Oh biafra my beloved country

The indigenous people of biafra
We speak igbo
And we worship the supreme
(chukwu abiama) the God of truth
We are well know as hard working
and creative people
And this is the only crime
We ve commited
So we are hated
As well isolated economically
and systematically
After we lost the war
3million biafrans dead
We had nothing left
But now we are the richest
in nigeria
Oh biafra
The land of hope
The land of the rising sun

The indigenous people of biafra
We are peaceful people
That is part of our tradition
We are tough but not rough
We are brave not coward
I see too many calls for freedom
In different places by same people
We need our right
We need be biafrans
And this is the only crime
We ve committed
It been too long we are not satisfied
with nigeria
Is been so long we yain to be free
As we sick for freedom
We are been jailed killed
Tortured
It been too long
But i know one day
We are going to gain
our long awaited freedom
By the grace of (chukwu abiama)
Our reality will soon come to light
Oh biafra my biafra
The land of hope
The land of the rising sun

Biafra the Rising Sun

How long shall I be in babylon and sing a song of hope and weariness?
Whence my heart perishes in servitude,
I have been debased to infra dig in a vast land we call our own.

They seek my basket,
They seek my soul.
I seek my future,
The restoration of my being!

Biafra the rising sun,
Unshaken as the waters
Return in the torrents of the sea
Return, return oh Biafra land
And return after many years.

I'm a fertile woman,
I'm raped before my groom;
I'm a strong man,
My bones are wrecked at harvest.

Seasons are gone,
But from the shallow graves crieth 6 Million carcases hacked in their prime!
They cry for grave yards,
They cry for freedom:
Arise and bind the fettals!
Arise and unleash our hearts from captivity!
Unchain my soul,
Unsex my body,
I thirst for freedom!

Return with our chariots and hoes,
Return with our pen and scepter,
And return to a land we shall call our own.

I'm a brilliantly beautiful bride,
I'm on tattered clad lay by the gutters.
When shall i wear fine robes like my mates?

We had been the sacrifice of unholy matrimony,
Raped and battered in it,
Yet our intellect fecund.

Thou shalt rise again!

The candles beneath the bow shel,
The touch under the earth,
Thou shall rise atop the mountain peak!

From the arid of Sokoto,
Down the valleys of Kanu,
Until you nest on the hills of Enugu!

Though the tormentous nights tarry,
With vicious incubus and succubus;
But shalt the dawn break,
The sun shall rise in the East!

Though the pillages and merciless carnage roar,
And the sword of the mighty army swing,
But my intellect and justice prevail
Until thine banner is hoist on the red hills of Enugu.

For Biafra

The land of the rising sun,
laughter beckon us as we wave perfectly
to you. I've made my ancestors proud
writing about you, my muse is delighful
in glorious light, my ancestral home.
I have told my friends how rich and powerful
you are, where in you dwells a great ecstasy of
love, wisdom, and powerful beyond compare.
With divers tradition and culture decorated by diverse tongues colourfully designed by nature.
Have you heard of Onitsha, Abiriba and Okija?
What about Njeba, Asaba, Izuogu and Aba?
Those wonderfully made land adorned by
Amadioha whose kingdom last forever.
I salute the great Ohafians in your bosom
The mighty Arochukwu bows in greetings
Mbano send their words to your greatness!
Nkporo okwe is saying you're braver!
My Biafra, my home; my Biafra, my country!
My Biafra, my country; my Biafra, my home!
You walk as we stretched in holiness of you,
We won't allow you float into the windpipe
like your predecessor of old corruption.
They have once chased our joy into death,
Our tears broken and made to fill a cup!
The skin of the sky shall cover you forever,
your dreams shall be our iris and lens to see!
Biafra oh Biafra! We wait on the other side here
until this tribulation shall be over in joy then,
we shall embrace you like a lost child that found
his mother.

Biafra: 1967 In 2017

I smell a darker age
I fear a fiercer rage
the conflagration will begin a new page
in the history of a country once named.

More 'saints' would die
birds of bullets would fly
and there'll be no barricades to hide,
nature will cry!

Have you long forgotten
the excruciating pains of 1967?
Art thou diagnosed with dementia
of how our streets were soaked
with the placentas of pregnant mothers?

How hopeless our children felt
when heartbeats of parents couldn't be felt...
Art thou forgetful of the bloody taste of water
and how emaciated our kids were?

Oh that thou would visit thy past
Oh that thou would visualise the path
that thou thread,
Oh that thou disallow an imminent war!
My heart bleeds, bleeds the more(sobs)

For Biafra 3

In your blood we are birth,
In you we shall die like sons,
When the wind shall call of
A global village; you'll stand.
Of a truth your erotic voice is
The envy of many nations.
Before the night cut's heal and
The day's tears squeaks wellness,
Our broad smile shall remain here
When the sunful eyes of nature
jiggles somewhere of joyful birth,
Thousands of us shall jubilate
Between the body of the universe.
We'll gather our selves for tomorrow,
We'll pile our hearts in unity at the gate
Like coins from daily makings of
an old farmer whose hoe spill love.
We shall arrange our lives into clanks
of shrillness before the moon of love,
Drowning into one another without
finding dirge in silence to echoe behind.
As we sit on our old thoughts weak and
wretched like an abandoned rags, we shall
remain faithful till that dreams come.
A destined day of Amadioha shall come;
a day when we shall walk amongst the legs
of the gods of all the Biafran's humble
clans, we shall hang our past on the head
of history and the eyes of haters shall not
prevail, no!
Our lips shall sing yet another song of victory!
We could agree on waiting for the sun
to set a pace from the eastern zone of Enugu
before fixing ourselves into tales that hold us
together like the nexus of the sky bodies.
Sometimes we might wait until our heart bleed
but, we won't give up the quest of our heart.
We'll wait until we break into another song of
hope with the Nightingales and the whispering
of the air soothe us out of the long longing.

For Biafra 2

My Biafra! Our Biafra!
Your sun shall rise again
Not in half of its yellow
But as full as the moon.
Our sons and daughters
Shall sing a song and see
Vision not black vision but
White vision of unity.
We shall write poetry and
Dream dreams like Joseph,
Days of loom shall not come,
Wisdom shall we live with!
My Biafra! Our biafra!
The cock shall crow again,
The Lizards shall stand again
This time with their legs...
Eve won't eat another apple,
Adam won't be deceived again...
We shall be far from this gory
Land baptised with tears!
We shall know no corruption,
Peace shall greet every lips,
Success shall be our tale to tell,
My Biafra! Our Biafra!
Biafra oh Biafra of our dreams!
We are fighting towards your
freedom before the night rain.
A dream in the eyes remains
Visible to the beholder until it
Comes to filfulment at hand.

How I Wished Biafra Was Here

HOW I WISHED BIAFRA WAS HERE

How I wished she was here
There won't be spilling of blood
All over the street of her mother
Looters won't be seen around
Bad leaders will be totally exiled
Only those with the spirit of the Umunna
Shall accomodate the rising sun

Cracking walls will be repaired
Without exploiting the righteous masses
Our currency could have been higher
Then the pounds and dollars
She could have been a paradise island of love
The national cake could have been for all
She could have harbour all in her bosom

How I wished Biafra was here
She would have been the beauty of them all
Biafra I know was a home of freedom
Created perfectly for the perfection of mankind
Her kingdoms are made of gold and silver
Oh! Biafra, I love in the name of freedom

My country home, Nkporo, could have
Been a befitting clothes decorated with lights
That shines until the perfect day if
Biafra was here in her full regalia.

Biafra Destiny

For all biafrians everywhere

The wind of change is blowing
It carries a lot forces
But after it storm
Still we will stand tall

That is a destiny
Not a decision
