Premium Member Providence On Behalf of Love - a Collaboration With Robert Lindley

I that have seen such beauty
fallen beneath its gleam
rejected my life’s duty
to wade thus in its stream

Saturating me with love
bathed in moon’s reflection
naught more for me to dream of
drown me your affection

With our true hearts united
stare into love’s abyss
night dreams felt unrequited
are thus found with first kiss

Passion’s torch does scorch the sun
red molten flow in veins
as we two become as one
unbridled, fallen reins

Sacrosanct are our love nights
life’s sweet joys soar with you
without your touch, nothing’s right
next tryst now overdue

Stoke my love and lustful sate
lure me your siren song
wooing whirlwind perfect fate
where pulse and pleasures throng

We shall meet under moonlight
join true hearts in one fire
kiss in love’s sweet depths all night
meld into deep desire

We’ll sail ‘cross life’s open seas
explore each others’ shores
casting caution to the breeze
re-writing romance lores

Love’s paradise we’ll not miss
destiny sends us there
living life with blushing bliss
heaven for us to share

Rapture’s mine, your eyes starshine
your light does kiss my soul
intervention our’s Divine
in ecstasy extol

*Providence* - a manifestation of divine care or direction -

Poet’s Note: When my talented friend Robert, found and presented to me his lovely poem fragment, from long ago (the first stanza), and asked if I would be interested in writing a collaborative poem with him, I said ‘Yes’! In the moment of reading his tender words, I was inspired.. and honored and humbled, by his generous and kindhearted offer to finish this poem with him through our creative cooperation. It was my great pleasure and a tremendous poetic experience for me to create and write with Robert, a fine poet of such high caliber who just so happens to be my esteemed friend as well. Robert, you made my first collaboration a pure joy and our friendship and partnership in poetry is cherished.

What right have men to bundle Christmas snow
Who know full well their efforts end in death?
When up comes the sun, seen baking below,
A mis’rable puddle gasping for breath.
Where’s the compassion and holiday cheer
In stabbing an icon with carrot and stick?
Not only once but it’s year after year;
Truly, I tell you, they’ve gotta be sick.
And now this cartoon drawn mocking his fate!
Frosty, hang in there, we’re all on your side.
Tell greedy Fido his playtime can wait,
Arms aren’t attachments so easily pried.
Way beyond wrong, what these tormentors do -
Someone, please help, call the ACLU!

Premium Member On Behalf of the People

On behalf of the people of these United States.
Now we are barren, a waste land.
We beg for scraps with aching bellies.
For we have nothing.

Now let us hold hands to keep us steady on
Our feet.
If we are destitute then we must cry out and
Reach for the hand of God.
When we grow desperate we will seek the
Hand of a deceased relative, or
The offerings of foreigners who have pity?

What have we become? Once a proud and
Prosperous nation. Now pass the time in the
Dark halls of SORROW with molded bread.
What used to be just a NIGHTMARE has
Come to keep misery company.

Bare Shelves haunt every supermarket.
Institutions have closed their doors
Permanently. Who will accept our
Grievances when POLICE ARE out of
Business.

Where is the lonesome shoulder to lean on?
My bowl is still empty on the floor. The
Table broke last week. Waiting for a morsel.
Now I have fear of fear. I have seen others
Like me walking in a trance with ghostly
Expressions.

I am delirious from hunger. I shiver from
Cold and malnutrition and memories sent
From long ago.
In my refrigerator only spoiled milk.
Food truck late again my friend, my friend.
Who can help us now with our beaten brow,
And a belly ache we can't shake.

Dollar quarter. A little girl begged at the corner
With all the effort she had. Nickel dime please,
Please. She kept crying.
ON BEHALF OF THE PEOPLE IN THESE UNITED
STATES.....
GOD HELP US ALL.

A Joke On Someone's Own Behalf

You have no idea, who I am,
however, for you, I'm here, to entertain.
I'm just a mere joke, for you, to mock
to bring forth, more fans, for you, to gain.

Why must I be your target,
what did, I ever do, to you.
To be treated, less than human, like my feelings,
don't count, when only your feelings, then do.

Afraid are you of what you don't understand,
of whom, is different than your very own being.
Still doesn't give you the direct right to make fun,
of those, in life, you don't really want to be seeing.

Wise I become to realize this, and stronger,
in myself, to walk with my head held high.
I have pride and the inner love, of myself,
no matter, what you do, my spirit, I won't deny.

So go ahead, and make a smirk,
and giggle, make a crack, for all, to laugh.
For I know, the shoe, will be put on the other foot,
and you be the joke for someone's own behalf.

Happy National Dog Day, PS!

Beagle, boxer, poodle, pug,
Airedale, cocker spaniel, terrier,
Shiatsu, pom, or something furrier,
Pedigreed or cur-ish mug,
Dogs make our lives ever so much merrier.
We pick up after, poof, and pamper them,
But, never like our kids,
Do we with the Ten Commandments try to hamper them.
Consider how they often make us break with number Seven,
And other blasphemies they might incur if there were Eleven.
But for all their sins they make amends
With apologetic eyes, and ingratiating grins.
We try holding out, but in the end,
A sloppy kiss, first us then them,
A wag, a hug, and we're best friends again.

On Behalf of a Broken Heart Love Will Betray Us All

Why does my life feel staged, I loved and now I am enraged
Am I the bachelor or the bachelorette I have not figured out love yet
Why wont the rain stop falling from my eyes, they are red like sunset skies
Heaven knows I tried to find the cure for the pain but love is drowned in salty rain
I have read every book I’ve known, prayed to every god I have been shown
I am not even sure love is a place with a name, can I get there by foot, car or plane.
The moon mocks me as I cry alone under the trees, it is love that has brought me to my knees
I would say that I am headed home but I know when I get there I will be alone
Crying my soul to sleep has gotten as old as the memories of a love gone cold
If I were an ember I would be dying slowly in the snow…this pain of love you must also know
I have known of love and its wealth, now all I do is pray that love will save me from
suicidal my self
The only hug I get that comes without regret, is when I hold my arms around my own chest
The only smoothness I feel, is chocolate melting on my tongue but is it real, is this
life’s best?
Small furry animals love me with pity, for they know I am feeling soooo itty bitty
What are we if we are not in love, now is hell below, in my memory is love’s heaven like
stars above
Unreachable, clearly seen like I could touch it if this were not a terrible dream
Love is a magnet, everyone is at it, I am the master of its addicts, but sometimes I’ve
had it, up to here
Like the Messiah your lovers will deny ya, this is why the rain, my pain, continues to fall
For lovers and love will betray us all…a kiss will betray us all

This 1 Is For and On Behalf of You and Countless Others

Tonight i come i write as not me
but for thee

With fashioned , gifted , borrowed ,
lender pen

On behalf of or partial to other's
those who no longer , longer nigh

As raven , ashen , dust , decaying
are they having had their life their
day in earthly court

So if yee dead have something
wished for i to say

Then speak through me drive my
hand force my pen your story tale
to tell , lest it be left untold

Tell me of the very moment a tear
drowned trickle beaming smilling
upon your face

Whence i your first born baby
entered exited head a first

What joy it was or felt to be
a father of a new born innocent
infant birthed

To witness wife as mother screaming
crying tears of joy handed cradling
child on breast so close and tender
to chest

Tonight i write impartial on and
for the family swelling tree's behalf

As fallen leaf in felling autumnal
setting each leaf asides

Like only running water son or
daughter , mother , father can
like water the influence of ink
doth feel

For love of one another once
crosses tears apart

Till sitting in a garden shed
in silent contemplation is
the only hobby worth of
consequent

Once stationery becomes one
tool swapping spade for pen
in a den of ubiquity

And the waterfall the quill still
wetting is fallen fateful closely
met

With imagery to overcome and
match said sorrow both head
to head and face on face

Terminating in everlasting , restful
grace for all and everyone no less
blessed

The Test In Behalf of Humanity

The Test In Behalf of Humanity

"14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! "
 Heb 9:14 NIV

Our dear Lord prayed for strength
To endure The Test In Behalf of Humanity.
The shadows of that long night gathered,
As Christ looked for unity.
His disciples were overcome with weariness,
Failed to stay awake and pray.
Instead they all fell asleep,
As in the Garden of Gethsemane they lay.

Before the crown must come the Cross;
The Test so harsh and severe.
Christ was left to pray alone;
To His Father above to adhere.
He’d stooped down from heaven
To seek and save the lost.
A sacrifice and test like none,
Before had ever passed.

The Test In Behalf of Humanity
Was to be completely surrendered;
Having the power to overcome,
Yet not using that power rendered.
The humility and shame Christ suffered,
We’ll just never comprehend.
Because we’ve never walked in His shoes;
The souls of all mankind to mend.

Christ’s Test In Behalf of Humanity
Was a very personal one.
We will always need heaven’s power,
Each trial to overcome!
Satan lost his power
At the Cross and then in the opened garden tomb.
The Test In Behalf of Humanity was woven perfectly
By heaven’s Plan of Salvation loom.

Premium Member On Behalf of all Canadians

Recently, the President-elect
showed a noticeable lack of respect
when he opined that "Wouldn't it be great
if Canada became the fifty-first state?"

I have a proposal for the President-elect
and forgive me if I am less than circumspect.
Instead of imposing your country on us,
let America become a Canadian province!

That way, all Americans would get universal health-care,
as opposed to your system which is grossly unfair.
And say what you want about our flaws,
but at least we have strict gun control laws.

(And on that point -
although I know you don't care -
mass shootings in Canada
are extremely rare.)

Also, here in the land of Northern Lights,
we have respect for women's reproductive rights.

Yes, Mr. President-elect,
I know my country is not perfect,
but, unlike you,
we know a thing or two,
about respect.

Flags Aren'T Banners To Settle Matters On Your Behalf

Can one remain calm ignoring violence?
Can angry words have the power to infuriate,
or change minds while they are searching
for those answers too uncertain and chilling?

No quest more alluring than this has plagued
me more ardently since the beginning of doubts;
is fairness another will to be desperately contested?
Is patience a burden or a belief nobody holds?

We all worry about tomorrow and the events it will unfold,
nobody can rely on men's promises; they sound good
until they turn bad swiftly diverging from the right path;
hold a steady grip on your convictions without being a wretch!

Flags aren't banners to settle matters on your behalf,
scream louder and make every wall shake
stronger than a devastating earthquake:
they will hear your plea unless they are deaf!

Behalf

You came to me when I was down.
I acted like such a clown.
You’ve turned my life around.
I am left with such astound.
You left with life still to have.
And Now I live on your behalf.

On Your Behalf

Serious things, funny things,
you don't know the good you bring.
You tell me things you'd tell no other.
The right things you say, one after another.

You made me laugh so hard,
I sheded tears of laughter.
I quickly sent you my fond regards,
in hopes I'd see you shortly thereafter.

I'm sorry to hear of you distress.
You must of been in one heck of a mess.
Hands and fingers were not meant to be glued.
How on earth are you to eat your finger food?

You make me smile,
you make me laugh.
You make me feel worthwhile.
You give me all your time and a half.
So I wrote this poem on your behalf.

I am sorry, Joanna, on behalf of the Nominative case

These days, actors and singers serve my catapult mayhem,
sometimes they are catalyst too!
I sing in between their lines of songs
their churned up recorded whims, hums, and candid cataracts!
And some days, whence things get screwed up
about a random psychotic feed back ,on a laminated free verse!

A day care and a festive color season!
Once small pox diagnosed ,
they let the sick baby get a safe mode, in an arranged detour reason, instead.

For a submission and a genuine submittal try!
On a humorous cover page , it calms down the wildest underneath rage, outcry!
Everything is clouded, intranet, inter too!
Nonetheless, a Fine arts diploma travels to the farthest east and swings to west,
they surely do!
To and fro round trip with a lonely estranged,
to Alaka and the random Parthenon
to cuddle Athena to wrap the scar, very own
before applying to have a trip to scar benign
Certainly,
We knew the translators' sage first,
Before originals tried to happen there, in a diaspora or wanderlust.

Please allow me a reason to try, anyway , anymore
before, they even try to be happy , at least mock or greet
and then eventually, troubleshoot for the love story ever after, special treat!

I am sorry, Joanna, on behalf of the survey-monkey!
You know me now. And the poem from the day care of Maxim Gorky!

Offended, On Behalf of Another

if you are not offended
but you know it'll offend a friend
are you not offended
by the offence offending a friend
who is yet to be offended
and knows not of any offence
leaving you the one offended
by that what does not offend
