On Behalf of a Broken Heart Love Will Betray Us All

Why does my life feel staged, I loved and now I am enraged
Am I the bachelor or the bachelorette I have not figured out love yet
Why wont the rain stop falling from my eyes, they are red like sunset skies
Heaven knows I tried to find the cure for the pain but love is drowned in salty rain
I have read every book I’ve known, prayed to every god I have been shown
I am not even sure love is a place with a name, can I get there by foot, car or plane.
The moon mocks me as I cry alone under the trees, it is love that has brought me to my knees
I would say that I am headed home but I know when I get there I will be alone
Crying my soul to sleep has gotten as old as the memories of a love gone cold
If I were an ember I would be dying slowly in the snow…this pain of love you must also know
I have known of love and its wealth, now all I do is pray that love will save me from
suicidal my self
The only hug I get that comes without regret, is when I hold my arms around my own chest
The only smoothness I feel, is chocolate melting on my tongue but is it real, is this
life’s best?
Small furry animals love me with pity, for they know I am feeling soooo itty bitty
What are we if we are not in love, now is hell below, in my memory is love’s heaven like
stars above
Unreachable, clearly seen like I could touch it if this were not a terrible dream
Love is a magnet, everyone is at it, I am the master of its addicts, but sometimes I’ve
had it, up to here
Like the Messiah your lovers will deny ya, this is why the rain, my pain, continues to fall
For lovers and love will betray us all…a kiss will betray us all

I enjoyed your rhymes. It was also interesting how you compared being denied to the Messiah (like when Peter denied him), and then at the end said "a kiss will betray" (because Judas betrayed him with a kiss).
