The Test In Behalf of Humanity

The Test In Behalf of Humanity "14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! " Heb 9:14 NIV Our dear Lord prayed for strength To endure The Test In Behalf of Humanity. The shadows of that long night gathered, As Christ looked for unity. His disciples were overcome with weariness, Failed to stay awake and pray. Instead they all fell asleep, As in the Garden of Gethsemane they lay. Before the crown must come the Cross; The Test so harsh and severe. Christ was left to pray alone; To His Father above to adhere. He’d stooped down from heaven To seek and save the lost. A sacrifice and test like none, Before had ever passed. The Test In Behalf of Humanity Was to be completely surrendered; Having the power to overcome, Yet not using that power rendered. The humility and shame Christ suffered, We’ll just never comprehend. Because we’ve never walked in His shoes; The souls of all mankind to mend. Christ’s Test In Behalf of Humanity Was a very personal one. We will always need heaven’s power, Each trial to overcome! Satan lost his power At the Cross and then in the opened garden tomb. The Test In Behalf of Humanity was woven perfectly By heaven’s Plan of Salvation loom. Copyright © Maureen LeFanue 2012 www.maureenlefanue.com
