Premium Member A Shy Sullied Sun
The sound of drip, drip, dripping drops of rain,
drum pitter-patter patterns on my brain.
And I slowly start slip-sliding past sane;
as endless dripping drops drive me insane.

For many miserable months, it pours
and a dank depression drains me of hope.
My misery manifests as bedsores;
deprived of sunlight,...

Premium Member Friday Once More
Hap, hap, happy day, it's Friday once more
Look forward each week, my work was a bore
Same old grind
Going outta my mind
Hope this weekend I don't get too many bedsores

Surely God is good,
Surely to Israel,
Surely God is good to Israel,
Surely God to pure hearts,
(please don’t call me Surely)
Soitenly God-Blessed are the dear-heart folks?
Who shall have attended God?

But
As for me

I slipped, I stumbled, I hit the ground running to heavens to...

Ins and Outs Part 3
Author's note: This is an epic length poem that will have to be split into parts and will be serialized in successive posts.

Part 3

our subject awoke
while still dark everywhere
dark with agony
an amputee's life
is not an easy one
bedsores the size of Antarctica
morphine...

from a sweetened

ripples of
sanguineous salt
a mixing bowl

Terri, the Pope, and I
I pray Almighty,
my freakazoid parents
the self-proclaimed-pulpits
of puritanical pious
and pompous selfish
keep their cult like claws
away from my throat,
and respect my
sanctimonious death wish.
Otherwise, I may have to kill them.
Or at least break their hearts.

I am with that crazy ass Pope.
Let them pull the plug!
Draft me not...

‘babes you need UV protection’

from top to tail and midsection

‘I’m African don’t be daft’

quite insulted she laughed

a masterpiece of self deception

but the tan worshipper in Cape Town

decided her skin must get more brown

took a book to sun

but it was ’Shantaram’

now she got blisters and a...

One Last Bloodstain
my life is frozen
and stuck in time
an endless torture
an endless rhyme
bloodstained bedsores
and lifetime slits
a world of chaos
and murderous skits
in a world that's mine
but in mind of my own
torture of gashes
bloodstained stone
beating the skin
and ripping the flesh
raping the corpse
and burning the rest
a world of nightmares
a world...

‘Madness kills Insanity’

Melancholy daggers had struck him down again

Compressed a fragile state of festering fragments

Left behind on slow incisions ready for the kill

A crazy old man on death row of split darkness

Stripped to the core on peripheries of bedlam

Sadness wrapped in a straight-jacket of inactivity

Premium Member retirement explained
I am mesmerized by TV
on Wednesday and Thursday I laid in a recliner all day
my butt making an impression that will be there forever
I almost have bedsores

today I finally shook myself out of this heavenly chair
at two p.m.
I have traveled six steps from recliner to...

A true writer when consigned to their virus induced self-isolation

Might want to consider turning over in bed for hot contemplation

Passion cannot be subdued by staying at home for an interim stay

But once you have bedsores you can’t even shop for emollient spray

If you are lucky...
