The sun's a majestic and radiant power
And all it caresses is warmed by its kiss.
It revives each day with a new beginning,
But in evening, succumbs to twilight's dim bliss...
To be bright and radiant as the rising sun,
Yet glow softly as sunset when day is done.
The moon, such a solemn and lonely sphere
Lays like a jewel on the velvet of night;
A defined silhouette on the darkness of sky,
Reflecting a tranquil, but mysterious light...
To be bold and cool as the moon's icy spark,
Yet meek as the shadows that hide in the dark.
A breeze playfully stirs in the fresh morning air
As it travels its way unhindered and free,
At impulse can turn into a gale of a wind,
A determined master of the land and the sea...
To be childlike and free as a soft summer breeze,
Yet impelling and strong as a wind felling trees.
The misty whisper of a drizzling rain,
Quiet and soothing as a gentle hum,
Can become the beat of a different song
With torrential pounding like a jungle drum...
To be gentle and coy as the raindrops of spring,
Yet persevering as a rainstorm's wildest fling.
The crystalline flakes of a snowfall descend
Creating vast blankets of whiteness that gleam,
Superficially masking the time-weathered earth,
A vision to behold, so peaceful and clean...
To be light and fragile as the new-fallen snow,
Yet deep as the earth that is lying below.

The brain’s a clever system
For keeping things in check.
It stops you getting dizzy
Every time you turn your neck.
Your balance is adjusted
With every move you make;
But if the signal’s off, the world
Starts spinning by mistake.
A therapist can teach you
Just what makes your body tick.
Some exercises help
But only time will do the trick.
There’s so much we don’t know
About the workings of the brain.
I marvel at the complex paths
That make up its terrain.
How In This Racing World Life Balances Out
How in this racing world life balances out
Lose love, seek thee sincere, find another.
World sends hell on thee, watch it turn about
Feel alone, hug thy sister or brother!
If rains beats hard upon thy weathered brow
wait, another day bright sun will reward.
Fence storm damaged, lost is thy lone milk cow
read solace words from thy favorite bard!
When home is too crowded and far too loud
yard is overgrown and thy best axe broke.
Wait future days, when those kids make you proud
YOUR TEARS FLOW AND YOUR CRACKING VOICE WILL CHOKE!
So friend, in the end it all balances out
Hold tight loved family, sing with a shout!

Note- Got the urge to compose one more sonnet today.
Sitting here with a yard full of snow, drinking hot chocolate and thanking my blessings......
I pray such blessed and soothing times for thee one and all....
A system of checks and balances
Is the fulcrum of democracy
Governments write many checks
But their budgets never balance
~ So how about plutocracy
Jokester Jester balances himself on the tip of a ball.
Some of the maids in waiting whispered he would indeed fall.
He was super confident, because he had mastered this trick.
It was one of his specialties, his name was Balancing Nick.
The king was not impressed, he rolled his hazel eyes instead.
Then he said in a most severe voice “Off with his head!”
The maids in waiting were astounded. They stopped tittering now.
“I am kidding!” The king told them with annoyance. “Don’t have a cow!”
How finely grind the checks and balances,
the system that minds the store.
To delve into the lies and challenges,
oh boy, what a national chore.

They tangle and they twist; wear diamonds on their wrist;
Their security is spying; and they say that you are lying;
You yelled and jeered and hissed; and now you’re on their list;
And with their time they’re biding; till they keep you down and hiding
I am glowing testament;
A testimony-bright and flowing vestment;
Shall blossom my spirit rest on this;
Glory, freedoms blemished..
Glorious freedoms accepted
Hallelujah!
Alleluia!
Challenges balances;
God blesses, Jesus reigns
He confesses mercies grace chances…
