The Flamenco

Emotional tension fills the air...
 Lights and laughter everywhere

A fiesta audience waits eagerly for a night of passion.

The dance of Spain and a sensual dancer
 The Andalusian Gypsy dancer
 El baile flamenco tonight…Ole!

 The guitarist enters…masterfully
 Displaying his unique musical talent.
 His music controls the dance

Finally, bailaoras, the great Camille, enters
More than beautiful, she exudes sexuality
Dramatically, her aura intrigues and mystifies

The Flamenco, some say, is animalistic
Elegant movements of the flamingo birds
So, much like the dancer's stance…

Camille points her gold slipper like a prima ballerina
Music begins--- she does not move…poised as a statue
The audience sits on the edges of their seats.

Motionless, no expression in the start
When she feels the rhythm, she responds
 Camille claps loudly, steadily

As her emotions build, she begins…
 Her back, arched and dignified
 Arms elegant and poised

 The flamenco begins torridly
 Gracefully but fiercely, Camille stomps---
Golden shoes with their percussion sounds

 Bedazzling her admirers,
No one knows where the dance will go…
That is part of the beauty of the flamenco

Her passionate moves romance or comfort her admirers
Thus, the greatest joy of flamenco dancing
Climatically building as a heroine in a play

 Camille has no equal…
Astutely, the castanets click in her hands…
The difficulty of the dance emerges…

Hands and feet working not in synchronicity
 But against each other
 Her mother taught her well…

The dancer is the accompanist, moving her body
To the flying fingers of the guitarist.
 Ultimately, the music ebbs away

Camile picks up her fan and looks at the guitarist
Both dancer and musician are spent...
Audience stands up, cheering and clapping.

This is the spice of life in Spain!

Sorry

The usual ashen sky
cursed the frozen road
because nothing ever changed
on that long ride home
The car skipped over the icy patches
as it so astutely had done before
there were no tepid words or half smiles
just a rattle in that old, neglected door
Yet, somehow, the car made no notice
of the rusty patches on our face
it just hugged that wintry road
leaving unforgettable tracks of rage
I remember once, when we all
laughed and stood in one place
never cowered from shadows
and the sun dried our face
But Dad raised his hand again
and I mistakenly winced in pain
I had broken my promise
we lost another game

Drug Culture

This what would happen in an alternate Universe
Many things would be different and oceans dispersed.
There's no such thing as hunger, water or air.
Because everyone's a vapor without any care.
C
We float around ambiguously trying to speak
Listening to the sounds of the impermeable weak
No one told you about this project ongoing
It's called X gene, selfless absorbing
R
It turns you into a gene pooled blob
Alters your DNA and pops your corn cob
Making popcorn with your soul
Seemingly making you whole.
A
This is what happens when you take too much
Your brain will end up on the sidewalk and such
Basically you won't ever come back
From smoking and smoking that god awful crack.
C
Drugs are bad mmkay
This what I say
K
Stay in drugs, go to milk and don't do school.
See what happens, now who’s the fool?

Anyone annotates astutely astounds
But baby bounces ballistic-ally brags
Can catching crazy come coining creativeness?

Is Your Refrigerator Running

Is Your Refrigerator Running

Late at night while sleeping or in a trance
Contemplating philosophic thoughts about the universe
Children called on the phone and postulated
An age old question about refrigeration
They shouted loud into the receiver
“Is your refrigerator running sir?!”
(I added the word “sir” since they did not… they must have forgot)
I checked my refrigerator quickly and checked its pulse
Looked inside to discover cold, outside was running hot
Somewhere about its lower region it seemed too hot
The children were so wise, so smart, so intelligent
They astutely suggested that I go and catch it
My refrigerator was running wild with fever
I did not want to get or catch what it might have
What if it’s contagious?
Tomorrow I throw my refrigerator away
And buy a lunch box to replace it
One with Batman or Superman on the lid
Refrigerators have become too complicated
I just need a simple box to keep stuff in
I must remember to thank the kids for what they did

They Burned Another Saint: Joan of Arc

Joan of Arc was the holiest one living in an era of kill-and-take,
she led the French army against the British who were slowly advancing;
was she forced to disguise herself as astutely as she could by wearing
soldier's clothes to prevent brutal attacks and possible rape?

Tied to a pillar like the Witches of Salem,
she screamed in fiery blazes invoking angels for comfort while she was dying;
they accused her of heresy, but her humble words were true and convincing...
" I proclaim truth as Jesus of Bethlehem! "

" Burn, warrior, burn for your lies until your bones turn into ashes! "
Were the cruel insults of the raging British soldiers blocking out mercy;
" I have seen saints, not demons: I ask for compassion, not sympathy! "
Joan of Arc shouted Christ's name overwhelmed by smoke and flames.

Who was to blame for her atrocious death? The British? The French? The Clergy?
Who didn't have a tarnished conscience, not believing she was a true saint?
" I forgive you for your madness; free me now, spare me the pain of agony! "
She begged the mocking soldiers who didn't feel a bit of pity but continued to chant.

Premium Member Integrity of Forests

Students enjoy a question
often wisely asked
especially of teachers
parents
and preachers
who seem not too often recall
curious younger learners,
deep listeners

If I must choose
which to trust,
your words without compliant
healthy resilient action,
OR your less mindful actions
not supported by your invocations
for divinely healing reactions,

Like telling your kids not to smoke
in-between stinky toxic puffs,

Which will have primary influence,
and which a wider and less deep
secondary smoke screen
of ambivalence
where we had hoped for integrity?

I question how to safely and astutely trust
a source of incompatible verbose
and poignant inaudible messages
brought by legs with feet,
arms with hands,
minds with hearts,
rooted nutritional systems
with sensory complex faces.

What primal communications
are most likely
to miss communion's full
of grace potential?

Our more obvious EarthTribal point,
we deeply trust only Earth's naturally
spirited resources,
healing advocates,
ecological green nurturing leaders,
indigenous species of integrity

Like trees
bushes
plants,
blessing soil
water
breezes in integral, sacred forests,
beautiful and true
trusted green
not mean in
and not relentlessly blue
breath out

Where healthy deeds
and safely consilient
brilliant
refulgent
resilient communications
are integral,
confluent,
in sync with humane
and divine local
through global
green EarthWealth care

For upright inaudible meaning
with downleft poetic purpose.

Premium Member Warranty Declined

Seems that with nearly every purchase nowadays for a fee,
Sales representatives want to sell you an extended warranty!

I reckon that's fine should you purchase a washing machine or car,
But the warranty that I was offered today I thought quite bizarre!

A warranty for a disposable camera didn't make a whole lot of sense!
I bought it at the Post Exchange for four dollars and ninety-five cents!

The cashier rang it up and I was dazzled at what the computer displayed!
"For ten bucks you can buy a warranty for the purchase you just made!"

I ain't the keenest guy around, but I considered such a deal a peculiarity!
I astutely deduced, "Gee, I can buy two cameras for the cost of said warranty!"

From the Top of My Heated Head

I thank you all for allowing me
An astutely marvelous opportunity
To spark synopses atriums
And bounce ideas from craniums
That is the mattress under lights
Where rocket ships prepare for flight
They launch for space in peaceful moods
And head for bulbs of orbing moons

Like moths that orbit thought balloons

Premium Member Absolutely

Absolutely, and astutely;
Positively, most assuredly.

Yes exactly, matter of factly;
Not despite’ly, simply rightly.

Days blue, or sunny and brightly,
Stars in the black and beautiful nightly.

Quaint and cutely,
Bold and astutely,

Not to be rude’ly, Just Absolutely.

Absolutely, play the flute’ly
Facts not always believed with proof’ly,

Without refute’ly, speaking truth’ly
Don’t like this poem, don’t give a hoot’ly

Amen church, to the aged, and youth’ly
Shout it out’ly, quietly, loudly,

Like it, lump it, toss it, dump it, constitute’ly,
Whatever suits thee,
don’t mean to be brut’ly, Absolutely.

Vision of Sappho

Before a pagan shrine, a witch reveals the gods’ desire
And sees a cryptic vision cloaked in her enormous pyre:

The blazes have the wit of lightning born of rain and fire
And magically filled with deep, eternal knowledge brought
To life on laden summits swept by ancient songs of Troy.
Her Delphic incantation saved the fallen poet’s lyre
And came to sink intrigues inwrought astutely with the thought
Bewitched on fields of war by many wizards’ spells or ploy.

Men can avoid dark potions made of poisoned weeds,
And erudite disdain from tortured debtors of the skies
Ensure that passion-winged crusaders risen from abyss
Can spread their handsome virtues over young, unruly seeds.
They bring the sovereign power trumpeted by nimble flies
Upon all fancies hurled to nothingness by thoughts amiss.

The oxen of the Sun are resting under Doric watch
And, suddenly, near Sappho’s ancient cave of dreams, the fount
Of noble manhood births a youth whose eyes deceive the minds
And souls of gods and goddesses. They hope to best or match
This witch-like poetess of Aphrodite, whose high mount
Has lured them deep within her lair, where Arne’s beauty blinds.

In wine, incense and smoke, such truths Apollo’s priestess finds
And sows bright hope and pride in Greece’s lustful minds.

Premium Member Excuse Me

Excuse me!
my son's bus driver exclaimed
as I walked away from his wheelchair ramp this morning.
I had not finished putting his safety harness on.

Excuse me,
without exclaiming,
means please cut me some slack,
I need to break into your flow of unconsciousness.

My curiosity about apparent invisibility
may exceed your courage for immediately present transparency,
intimacy,
focus,
accessibility,
grace
and less denial of dark powers absorbing self and other losses.

Excuse me,
unexclaimed,
unplugged may invite my love
and acceptance of what we cannot independently improve.

But, don't dismiss me
also lies exclaiming dormant,
waiting in revolutionary disordering wings,
sometimes because lack of curiosity
about needs and wants of others
threatens to get in my own ego's way,
harming, neglecting those within speaking distance here and now,
and many more not yet loud enough
for me to hear full-voiced disenchantment.

Excuse me!
exclaimed
leans more to RightWing
"Don't dismiss my Business As Usual
Yang competition powers!"
than
"Would you do me a LeftWing yin paid-forward favor?"
To stop ego self-promoting
your internal short-term needs and rantish feelings
long enough to make love with some WinWin cooperation

MotherEarth
and all Her sacred tribes of history
are waiting for us to hear,
waiting for my excuse
for not exploring future health dreams together
deeply and widely
yet astutely focused.

Here with you
and Now as me exclaiming
longing for Earth climate ecstasy,
personal and public,
sacred and secular,
spiritual and natural
Excuse me, please
and thank you in advance
for noticing further climate risk pathology
and yet also future health caring opportunities.

Premium Member Who Are You

You caught my eye as I passed by
Astutely dressed dark suit and tie
Hair well kept eyes of green
Tall and svelte broad and lean

You filled my dreams with love and lust
A visionary quest I behold to trust
Sweatsoaked sheets pillow held tight
You captured my soul from first sight

I visited baristas and local shops too
Hoping to see if you were true
Empty and vacant I looked down the street
Who Are You? Who put this spell upon me

Did my eyes betray my heart and my soul
Never like this a part of my whole
Sleepless I search day and night
For you I think are my Mr. Right

A perilous journey a heart wrenching tale
Love at first sight could set me a sail
But if I can but find him and bind him with rope
Heartstrings of madness love and of hope.

Our Values Should Be

Our values should be written
on posters with a believer's conviction
to incite a protest and end it
with peaceful intentions;
if others don't agree, ignore them.

Our values are the image
of ourselves, of what we proclaim to be
without compromising our introspective
towards the opponents humiliating us;
isn't victory obtained with a constant effort,
not worrying about losses?
One wins a battle astutely,
not with vicious attacks on the enemy;
look forward to your imminent victory!

Our values reflect the concept of faith,
nobody is a lesser human being;
luck doesn't shine on all;
but if it chooses a humble person,
that fortune will not change him.

Wealth is a prized possession based on greed;
it's a glamorous thought to gain
the status of a respectable person admired
only for his riches, not for his perspective
or his apparent deception.

Our values should be
kept according to our belief,
discarding what others think;
it's a fountain splashing and refreshing,
don't stop its flow: it's life-giving water.
