Father Christ rose from the dead
Glorious and immortal
On Easter Sunday
The 3rd day after His death
Father Christ ascended
Body and Soul
Into heaven on Ascension day
40 days after His Resurrection
We say that Father Christ sits at the right hand of Eternal God
The Eternal Father Almighty
We mean that our Divine Lord as Eternal God is equal to the Eternal Father
And that as man He has the highest place in Heaven
Next to Eternal God
When we say that Father Christ “sits at the right hand of Eternal God
We do not mean that He is in Heaven doing nothing
From Heaven Father Christ rule over all men
He is our King
We celebrate the feast of Father Christ the King on the last Sunday of October
When we say that Father Christ will come from from that place to judge the living
And the dead
We mean that on the last day
Our Divine Lord will come to judge everyone who has ever lived in this world
The last Day for which the Church is waiting and praying
It will be a glorious day for all who love Father Christ
Our Divine Lord will destroy all the enemies of His sheep
And lead His loved ones with Him to His Eternal Father in Heaven

Thoughts On Ascension Day

Spring has grown old on the brink of summer
the swallows having arrived in time have finished
restoring their nests now jump up past my window
to their home above right under the roof they love
dashing down for speeding on dancing and yelling
shooing off the clouds to make way for the sun

young once again is the world and the Green is new
lush devoid of the dust that will have gathered when
nights will be growing like the main fruit of summer
and eventually colorless blossoms will open and bless
the world with the magic of White lulling nature to sleep
till the time when light grows and starts a new Spring

Jesus said on the day to heaven He arose
Do not be afraid of the devil's foes
In heaven Jesus sits at God's right hand
Asking us to be witnesses of Him throughout the land
He said His Holy Spirit will guide and comfort us on our way
We will never be alone is why we celebrate Ascension Day

As Victor wrote:
Minus "the resurrection,
 there is no Christianity"
But Jesus defeated death -
He rise from the tomb --
His promise is, We can do so, too!

Jesus Christ suffered a bloody sweat
 a cruel scourging
was crowned with thorns and was crucified
Christ died on Good Friday
Christ suffered and died for our sins
Christ rose from the dead
Glorious and immortal
On Easter Sunday
The 3rd day after His death
After 40 days Christ ascended into heaven
The day on which He Ascended into heaven is called the Ascension day

Ascension Day

We sat within the murky depths;
belief just gripped belief's belief.
But now we're up, we rise, rise, rise.
Our stay there had been not too brief.

But now we know our notions were
a world once served by gods and heroes,
something that was needed then,
but now we thrive on ones and zeros.

It’s such a welcome cheerful breath!
For now we've ceased to drown, drown, drown.
It’s such a welcome griefless breath!
Those notions cease to hold us down.
