Premium Member Joe the Plumber

Joe The Plumber announced he was runnin' fer Congress the other day!
Congratulations, Joe! You the man! Fer you I shout, "Hooray!"
Tell 'em like it is as you did with Obama - show 'em you won't be outdone!
And, Joe, take yer plumbers' kit - you'll need it to repair the damage done!

Include screwdrivers to tighten the screws on higher taxes and spendin',
And yer biggest wrench to shut off the flow of governmental lendin'!
Take yer solderin' arn so as to solidify warm relationships with yer peers,
And a pipe cutter to cut off zany filibusterin' that is tiresome to yer ears!

You'll need a hundred rolls of duct tape to stem the flow of inane babble,
And gallons of Liquid Plummer to unclog the stalemate of that useless rabble!
A good pipe wrench will come in handy to tighten the discipline in that 'joint',
And a twelve-foot stepladder to rise above that rotten mob to make yer point!

Joe, show 'em what real 'change' is meant to be with a new 'shower' of hope!
Flush political correctness down the john that's gotten us on this slippery slope!
Be sure to take yer roto-rooter and clean the sewer that is Washington, DC!
Use yer most powerful hose to flush the whole mucked-up mess out to sea!

Premium Member Hank's Last Roundup

Hank had cowboyed on the Triple T Ranch fer nigh on fifty years.
He'd rode the range herdin' beef peerin' betwixt his hoss's ears.
Durin' cattle stampedes he'd broke bones and many a time was throwed,
And he'd been astraddle his saddle so long that his legs was stiffly bowed!

He loved the cowpokin' life but he didn't become rich by any means.
He'd even come to savor Cooky's usual grub of bacon, taters and beans.
Durin' brandin' time he roped and branded many a steer's scruffy hide.
He was a master with the brandin' arn and he wielded it with skillful pride!

He liked lollin' 'round the campfire a-jawin' with pards beneath the stars,
Sippin' java that smelled like old socks, smokin' roll-yer-owns and ceegars.
He pulled many a nighttime guard duty in sleet, snow and peltin' rain,
Blowin' on his harmonica to calm skittish herds which was quite a strain!

He'll miss huddlin' 'round the bunkhouse stove as storms blew driftin' snow,
While he and his pals listened to Tex sawin' away with his fiddle and bow.
Hank hung up his scruffy boots, tattered chaps and sweat-stained hat.
He'd already given away his well-worn saddle and his 44 caliber gat.

This was Hank's last roundup herdin' cattle to Abilene up the dusty trail,
Cussin' and sweatin' to get 'em loaded up to ship on the Chicago rail.
He stopped by fer a few snorts with the boys at the Long Branch cabaret,
Then cantered off into the sunset on Old Dan his trusty hoss, callin' it a day!

This Is How

                This is How
(the Dastardly Deed Went Down)

Brown shirts, black boots
Shaved conscience, paramilitary spooks

Marching turncoat lockstep to the Bennie Arn band,
following the Herr Leader’s double-agent command

Bearing arms for the Oval Overthrow Cause,
strangling free speech with Second Amendment clause

Rabble rousers on the mamba move at the rallying point;
a Cottonmouth King, they’re ready to seditiously anoint

This is how
dumbfounded Democracy got
buried in the ground

This is how
closed eyes saw the fascist shot
Deafen by the sound

This is how
the Dastardly Deed went down

Robo-calls for a ban on the mail-in vote,
defacto declare prez election was a hoax

Populist rebels said power got ballot stolen by the dark skins,
neo-Prussian heads blitzkrieg slid down duchy Alps Austrian

Make common the use of violent protest,
let the gunpowder lungs spark a lip resist

Alabaster grassroots cast asunder long-revered Liberties;
Con-federate voices, the militia masses do Führer appease

This is how
a confounded Democracy besieged got
buried under the ground

This is how
waxed ears heard the candle snuff shot
Deafen by the dark sound

This is treacherously how
the Dastardly Deed went down

Overtime Again

Overtime Again
by Dave Stinnett

What is it about this temperature you always keep so hot
You always want to “fire me up”, when you’re getting’ all I’ve got,
I spend my whole life cookin’ things I know you’ll never eat,
There’s more than iron that’s melting from this God forsaken heat,

It’s me, your oven, on overtime again.
I hope you’re making money for all the time we spend Makin’
smoke, red coals and hotter fires to help our steel post bend,
I’m always there to heat it up, it’s overtime again.

I’ve built up quite a friendship with a piece of iron today
He guessed you messed up several times from the things he heard you say,
Your banging, swearing, apron wearing times about to end if I
Hear that you are blaming your mistakes on me again.

It’s me, your oven, on overtime again.
I hope you’re making money for all the time we spend makin’
Smoke, red coals and hotter fires to help our steel post bend,
I’m always there to heat it up, it’s overtime again.

Last year I almost called it quits, when you stoked me at the “Farm”
I’ve always had the hottest fire to heat the hardest “arn”
But you really hurt my feelings when my door swung open wide
And I saw a pair of hot dogs on a hanger poked inside

It’s me, your oven, on overtime again.
I hope you’re making money for all the time we spend Makin’
smoke, red coals and hotter fires to help our steel post bend,
I’m always there to heat it up, it’s overtime again.
It’s not the jalapenos I cooked with your burritos
It’s not the jalepenos I feel burning deep within.

Bennie Arn

He’s the best friend of democracy’s worst enemy ...
spinning white lies, treasonous yarn
Red coat ruby lipstick speak;
seditious bellow larceny,
crafty cerulean sound bytes of ruble treachery

Bennie Arn,
firebrand fox with the silver coin tongue
Got those oval eyes fixating
on the golden eggs in the eagle nest treasury,
Those baby blues
are crimson code flashing a czar fee:
Robbing Hood disdain is stained red Lenin Commie

Bennie Arn
keep plenty Ruskie company,
pilfering pals
hiding in the cyber weeds

Ballot box security
has a serious ivory inside bleed
Bennie Arn is selling classified secrets
on a pay-to-never know need
Giving those rotten cluck citizens
digital kernels of
decayed honesty chickenfeed

He’s the best friend of Lady Liberty’s worst enemy ...
weaving red meat lies, traitorous yarn
Sorry to say,
the Trojan Horse hay is in the barn

White noise seduced by wavy Iscariot charm —
Freedom woes got Union blue sold
when iron-copper chains
of thought tyranny prickly arose

Raise the white flag,
blow the indigo tone scare alarm
Pay scarlet turncoat tribute to Bennie Arn
