The Vulture

Sparkling with precious stones,
 Credited for its aboriginal tone
Carpeted with flat grassland and lion-like mountains
Is the land where the vulture reigns.
 Celebrated for his greed,
He deprieved all his relations of their needs.
He dances to the rhythmic melody of bribery
And lend the land to ultimate misery.
With his delusion shrouded in cosmetic words
He appoints humiliation and frustration to be his lords.
Relatives fortunate to labour in Winter and Summer
Strives to oblige helping hands to the beggar
 But to no avail.
As vandalism fueled with violence prevails.
 This evident atmosphere of injustice,
Nursed an intense spirit of malice
 Which when at its peak
 Permits commotion to speak.
The pack up! Pack up! sound of the gun
Hints that another catastrophe has begun.
 Villages were ravaged.
In every town there is carnage.
"Oh, my people are being taken to the cross
I will uproot my lords with a force,"
Flattered the psychopath
As he plans another of his unbearable wrath.
Yet he has "Pledge" his "Love and Loyalty"
To bring to our land, "Peace, Freedom and Prosperity."
I dont have to fight to eradicate this anguish plight,
With the pen's might I will amplify his callous deeds in broad daylight

Of Cleanliness and Godliness

Of Cleanliness and Godliness, the adage appoints;
God will be proximate to the most cleanly joints.
Now, Craig’s place is clean, I mean, his pad is bright!
And Steve lives on Craig’s left while I’m on the right.

The way that I figure, if that old saying’s true,
Then Steve’s digs are painted a deified hue.
Steve must be holy as holy can be,
‘Cause he’s next to Craig’s place, and God is not me!

Premium Member Family Ties

Fate makes a date with strange decrees;
Appoints and hurls each man a path;
Moves each estate just as surely;
Indwells and swirls all living stuff;
Lines each to each as kin and kind;
Yet moulds our tribe with common needs;
Tricks us to reach for peace of mind;
Implants a pride that each might seed;
Exults the pulse of plain good choice.
Sells each a style with curious feel;
Hides wild impulse in feisty poise;
Endows odd wiles that seek to heal;
Assigns appeal in paradox:
Listens as will lives in-the-box.

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

When He Proposes

He comes to love, openly, one last time,
careless as always, eyes closed, on the rim
of lovers ledge, tingling toes reminds
him to let go and forget where he’s been,
before this final breath, before the binge.
Before, his belly was empty, hollow,
a lonely log covered in moss and midge.
Then born again, baptized in love’s shallows,
he found the crown to rule his tomorrows.
He loves love and love loves him, it’s beautiful.
In reverence of it, on one knee, the ring—borrowed.
He appoints this his moment, it’s delightful
how his blood bubbles and his heart puffs up
one last time, openly, he comes to love.

Premium Member God of the Oceans

God of the oceans vast and deep
we come to you as helpless sheep.
You formed the oceans by your might,
against you, who can dare to fight.

The whales that oceans depths traverse
what tails like giant oars they have.
Their bodies sleek, with skill you made,
They plumb great depths, are not afraid.

Compared to them, man’s best-made subs
are much like giant hollow clubs,
some sleek titanium toy-like tombs,
whose failure sadly spells man’s doom.

The ocean floor, a graveyard cold,
is filled with ships built brash and bold.
Like gargantuan geese-like ghosts,
their rusting hulls confound man’s boasts.

God planned the first submarine ride.
Throughout the ride poor Jonah cried.
When God appoints an aqua trek,
there’s no chance of a fatal wreck.

God of the oceans vast and deep
We come to you as helpless sheep.
Please keep our submariners safe
as they with brave hearts bear their chafe.

Comfort the hearts of those who mourn,
souls whom to ocean depths were borne,
when accidents made things go wrong
with vessels that were built so strong.

God of the oceans deep and wide,
who daily sustenance provides.
Teach us to keep these waters clean,
as they for long ages have been.

Forgive our foolish fleshly greed,
and help us nature’s cries to heed.
And leave her waters free from scum,
for generations yet to come.

Premium Member Urban Morning Sound

hear others out there, just beyond my wall-wrapped sharing space
they break on through, sneaking inside my head
far above, front-nosed pilots point high-flying seated people tubes
passengers squeezed in tight, some feeling dread

as jet engines cloud-buffet, amplifying reverberations
  chimney-chambers funnelling their muffled sound
momentary fear spills downward into the peaceful living-room
then gone, soon forgotten, on journeys bound

clank and clang, lift-arm lorries crawling slowly by the gateway
sin bins scooped, coloured cravings half-consumed
cascades of clinking glass crescendo, bottle-bank vomiting noise
  rapid cadence, ambient drone resumed

programmed heat, timed with boiler clicks, powering-up, igniting
cold metal creaks around expanding joints
curtains swish, blinds roll open, bleary blinking, homely morning eyes
aural sequencing as the day appoints

distant yowl of hooter horn, duly departing commuter train
car doors slam, abrupt jarring intrusion
gauntlet-running mothers compete with pavement-blocking pupils
  fumes linger, safety scarring delusion

  radio din, depressing electro-magnetic compression
shovelled earth beside the thin blaring-out
men again dig doggedly, patching patches for the umpteenth time
careless strike, gushing hiss of waterspout

road tyres clip, manholes rattle, drum the brief mid-morning lullaby
rise and fall, the doppler siren speeding
two-wheeled tiny engine buzz, irritating as it nears the ears
loudspeaker hails, vies for votes its pleading

post person presents the parcels, delivering rat-a-tat-tat
cats scurry as scratching dogs lunge and bark
then sudden bang, spread-eagled pigeon, wingspan on window-pane
stunned, fluttering, hoping to reach the park

Mind Sight

by Mark Miller 12/30/2017

Traveler starlight dusts
Our color emotion departed
Ever within never dissident
Below sordid toss assortment
Blooms circuit substance

Our obsessive privy throws
Living symptom circular gaze
Before myopic oceans deep gray
Grasping worlds structure foray
By shipwrecked days estrange

In homes left untouched the many
For whom history appoints
The fill of sentry tales
Holds purpose tenants void

Halloween

The candle’s flickering orange light
Loaned tension to the night,
And from shadows cold and dark,
gave purchase to the sight.

A Spectre’s hand in vapour white,
then pointed at each soul,
an icy blast then dimmed the fire,
And quenched the smouldering coal

These whispered words in rasping voice,
then echoed in the room
‘Each Halloween the hand of fate
Appoints one to his doom.’

Panic played though terror stayed,
all fleeing from the room,
their frightened eyes stared spellbound,
as the hand moved through the gloom.

A sudden bolt of arcing light
Then stole their panic’d breath
As Mother said ‘take off that glove,
You’ve scared the kids to death.’

Cabinet That He Appoints Horn Limerick

Everyone Educate Horn Limerick

Trump is not keen on making points;
Himself always awards and also anoints;
Nothing ever does he clearly explain;
Drives us insane when he does complain;
Can you imagine cabinet he appoints.

Can't wait to see them on Saturday Night Live;
Will laugh so much and hope we can survive.

I - a Disruption

Someone wrote for praise today
Water on my molding clay
You like the hard subject, a gift
Of wind without a lift
                  For I would think
My world so transparent in words
                  Would explain my link
                  My little flight with birds

For things of the poet's heart
Are not the tangibles of our life
Though by tangibles we break apart
And enter vile vortex of strife
I care for every forest razed
                 Every broken wing of child
                 Every woman raped, battered, daze
Every soldier wounded in the fight

I am the echo of art, the points
Of negotiation with powerlessness
The sacrifice that love appoints
I disrupt coherence of selfishness
And will confront kings and citadels
A vulture at the rotten heart
A dog to bark and bite at infidels
I am the conscience in the art.

This is my gift, my task, my delight
To be a candle in starless windy night
To tell the disillusioned you are right
To take to hell the gospel's fight
                 And proclaim God's kingdom come
So love is not an easy chair for me
Not noble dreams of figment freedom
                 I am its better memory.

Villanelle: Only in democracies reigns surprise

Only in democracies reigns surprise
The majority cast their franchised rights
Elect CEOs who tell fat cat lies

In dictatorships the leader is wise
He elects himself and appoints his mites
Only in democracies reigns surprise

On election day leaders on the rise
By the hundredth day majority fights
Elect CEOs who tell fat cat lies

By end of first term majority dies
Wonders how they kept the leader uprights
Only in democracies reigns surprise

By start of second term the voter cries
Give us our oligarchy by rights
Elect CEOs who tell fat cat lies

In dictatorships people march in files
To show they don’t much care about rights
Only in democracies reigns surprise
Elect CEOs who tell fat cat lies.

My Wish For You

Dear Friend Saha,
Be peace upon you,
At a time you do trace peace like umbrella in rain,
In the aftermath of your business pinning and paining you,
You are in debt,
Your good health left,
Deserting your friends like birds the lakes,
You may remember me for telling now and then,
God is created lives with the ability to feed them all,
A tiny ant to a small bird,
The hands of friends are tied down,
To resolve a solution to your ill fate on,
I thought of introducing a good friend,
You believe but leave,
A friend never says no,
A friend telling all to ask readying to grant,
Any thing,any time,in bulk,
In his inventory no the word no,
He is beyond needs,
He doesn't store any thing for him,his kins for use,
Everything in his godowns,he owns,
Everything to give in lump,prompt,
Ask the God created you plus your life long meals,
The one to take care,
The one to share,
My friend Saha, take my words of wisdom,
When the God wants to help someone he appoints another,
In your case that's me,I hope,
Take my words,
Ask God,
He will make your business boom,
Repay all your debts,
Restore your good health,
Take my words,
I want to sail on this great life Ocean joining hands with you,
Sitting inside the friendSHIP side by side,
Take my words,
Success is guaranteed like the Sun rise in the East tomorrow,
Your friend in need and indeed-Safa

Iuribus

A HOUSE DIVIDED

What right do you have to tell someone
Else how to use their bodies like they should

You don’t run their life and they not yours
How they meet their mistakes
Is their own decision, to do as they should

Just because you hold up a book
Written so long ago you believe
the words of ancient hate…
you still have not the right
to tell me how to think

How out to date, out of context,
used without understanding
A text you can’t comprehend
only misread, misrepresented

A book you claim appoints you to say
This is what you should do
and this what you should believe
A false narrative in the ugliest
 of thoughts, deeds

How misguided, how blind,
now corrupt and so naive
This is not that, not all the words
were meant to be used as you see
If you are not meant say, then don’t,
it will set you free,
It is your hypocrisy, your disease

To love and to be love,
as that is the New Covenant

Not the blasphemy of this
the current government
What gives you
the right to tell someone
Else what to do
Yes, life is precious
Life is glorious

A Secret, none are
born Holy N Perfected
But this is the
real world, the world
Of life in flesh and blood
not archaic stories
Or bullet points to approve
a false Armageddon

This is the real world,
keep your high thoughts to yourself
Let a man or woman,
be a person who decides what they should be
All by themself, if they are ready
to reap the rewards or oblivion

Let them decide with love and caring
from those around them
To make the correct decision
Do not judge
Or yet ye be judged

Mistakes are made
We’re all human
We know it is up to that person to define
What they need to do

Or which way to go
If you want to do the thing that is right
Support them with all your might

They may be inspired
by what you feel is correct
Done in their best interest
to give them
All there is. ...is respect

What right do you have
to tell someone
Else how to use their
bodies like they should

You don’t run their life
they not yours
How they meet their mistakes
Is their own decision,
to do as they should

Only they alone will stand in judgment…
Someday!

My Soul Appoints Positive Points

Peace if you want to get
Best way is to fully forget

Love if you want to show
From your eyes let it flow

If comes in your mind anger
How can you grow stronger?

If hatred is your companion
You are bad in God's opinion

If smiling is not by you done
Your heart will carry burden

If with mercy you move not
Your joy will be a big naught

If you employ not courage
Loss will come to discourage

Always if you do lazy sleeping
Results make you do weeping

Harsh words if you use
God makes you only lose

Bad language of yours
Will cancel your cheers

If you have no tolerance
It reveals your ignorance

If doubting you wrongly make
It will cause permanent ache

If fighting is your habit
Around you losses orbit

When sadly time you spend
Your agonies have no end

If hoping is not by you made
How can you win my comrade?

If you fear and retreat from a task
Help from God, how can you ask?

If you do a very bad deed
Penalty comes with speed

If God Himself you cannot trust
Then for you none will be honest

If faith in God is by you held
Anything tough can be felled

Affection heals mind's infection
It is for soul a strong protection

If you open to all your heart
In bliss you will be never short

I have given you my ideas
To help you in life-test pass.
