- Absence of Complication -

"in the absence of complication,
trials and tribulations become distant memories;
above sapphire skies delight sanguine eyes -
inspiring forthcoming musings of the mind"

quiescent sentiments encompass,
bestowing sonorous serendipity-
susurrations resounding in light,
dusk left rhapsodic; dawn, a vestige of harmony

left b r e a t h l e s s by beautiful balance,
essence of dulcet moments rescued me-
resplendent radiance of magical resonance;
fearing not what lies ahead

but

walking toward mellifluous fields,
chartreuse blades blooming on maple trees…
as i am left whispering hope in the breeze

a myriad of emotions crowded my intellect,
now i am soft spoken and relieved-
aromatic autumn air alleviates my anguish,
for seasons change-
and so did i

in the absence of complication, i worry not-
for time is on my side and i am forever freed
from the cynical soul i used to wear like silk,
feeding off what could have been-
(might have been)
life has bestowed pain-
but
all the hardships of trials and tribulations are
distant memories i shan't forget-
for they brought closure,

and

i am forever bound to a grateful heart

Timeless Tale

You are tragedy incarnate.
You're the whisper to the sky
That tore the world asunder
And you didn't need to try

Absolute opacity
at maximum capacity
Fill your mind up endlessly
With all the never meant to be

Wretched be this parasitic tag along you hide.
That filth you feed is evil, and it's time it ing died.
Betrothed be to misery, In confidant confide.
Hells nowhere you chose to be, It's always there inside.

Welcome. I find you're here again.
Funny how I catch you creeping back in now and then.
Used to be you'd stay as long as I cared not to care.
Now that I look back I left a lot of myself there.

The weight of all this emptiness, alleviates the (w)hole.
Now the mind is paralysed, it must destroy the soul.
Siphoning your entity to nurture the abyss.
Taking away everything to only give you this.

Seas are awfully rough, I hope the maelstrom abides.
The swift and gentle bliss, of her chaotic tides.
She will sooner drown me than she shift a single drop.
But the journey isn't over cause the journey doesn't stop.

Careful! I'm only here to help.
I saw that you were wounded, thought I'd nurse you back to health.
You're not captured.
Though it seems I've been myself.

Have some things that you might need.
Guess just time if nothing else..
Perhaps you'll share some with me?
We'll keep it for ourselves.

You are mercy here incarnate
You're the whisper at our side
That lulled the world to slumber
So you didn't need to hide

Off the Beaten Path We Go

off the beaten path we go
nothing like the thrill of newness
even when it gets old, something new is discovered like a dylan record
we embrace our respective kid at heart approach to things
it definitely brings us closer and alleviates unneeded stress
we already are graduates of lonely street university both with a masters in isolation studies
now here we go....eager students of professor unexpected
what we learn is more than valuable to our minds and our potential future endeavors
it is like a blank page full of colors with the beautification of water for the purpose of intrigue
when life goes in directions of low places, it inspires you to strive of the highest heights
we are giants....yet still so microscopic in our travails
we yearn to see more, but in the reality of life duty calls in the form of a time clock
however, we bless the heavens for the earnings bestowed upon us nowadays....
....so off the beaten path we go....

Premium Member There Is a Gentleman

There is a gentleman that I am acquainted with.

He grins, but it is not seen in his eyes
He chuckles, but it is only a lovely lie
He speaks but conceals something inside
He sings, but his quiet screams are audible
He draws but has no one to console him
He writes, yet it never alleviates his life's sorrow
He adores, yet his thighs are scarred.
He survives, but all he wants is death

He merely absorbs the ache, which is excruciatingly bitter
And I take a step back from the mirror

Strong As a Hearts Resistance

Stone partitions
stretching somewhere in the distance
borders beckon cross not here
as strong as a hearts resistance
though intentions are most sincere
cobweb covered disappointments
when trust like ancient ruins turn
Divided by protections wall
closing off and closing in
Defenses unlikely to fall
From distant glance
a palisade of sure protection
beautiful as strength appears
But for all the stones raised round a heart
It alleviates not one of its fears
It suffices only for the warning
at the calling it's drawing near
I'm coming past these stones you've cast
Additions equation by the year
An unsuspecting intruders disguise
clothed in the eyes of a lover
Let me in, I'm drawing closer
Like a chisel bent and aimed for demise
Saying unlike stone you do not hold me
Through times when my world falls apart
Love alone is not enough to own me
like the filling of my empty to impart
For only then can my bulwark
endure the crumble
of the wall encasing my heart
Greet me first with morning joy
Toil with me under the sun
Do not release me under the light of the moon
Of burdens light and laughters fun
Maybe someday when faith is stronger
when it's safe to rest and not to lead
I can live a faith without borders
And of these stone partitions be free

Dear Mother

DEAR MOTHER
TIME OF THOUGHT:07:25PM
DATE OF THOUGHT:10:04:2011

How can I tell it all
On your back lies the comfort I desire
And the sweet warmth of your arms at all time

From you I sucked the courage I needed to move on
Your affection is of no degree
And in your eyes I see my strength

Mother, your presence is my pride
Your voice alleviates my fears
No doubt for your love

Surely mother, I will always love you
The vigil kept at my cranny is ever cherished
You are my heaven on earth.

Premium Member A Mother's Kiss

Vying for the love in a mother's kiss;
siblings compete to win a mother's kiss.

Nothing alleviates boo-boos better;
for trust is found within a mother's kiss.

A treasure greater than any other;
whereas love lies therein, a mother's kiss.

A loving gift given to all ages;
oft greeted with a grin, a mother's kiss.

It is such an incredible feeling;
it is like no other, a mother's kiss.

To My Vision of Hope

A tsunami of emotions I feel
Yet one so tranquil and real
Seeps through my every parched pore
It’s the key for every locked door
Encompassing my every dream & whole
It conciliates my mind and soul
It disperses my every fear and doubt
Alleviates a pain so profound
A tsunami of emotions I fear
Through my every thought they interfere
A silent moment… a ripping epiphany
I woke up… Ah! Disturbing reality
Farewell fading light!
Farewell with no regrets....
Thank you for being part of the reality
and not just a fleeting memory.

Premium Member Moments of Healing

* This poem was inspired by Alexa Brus and I want to dedicate it to her. Thank you
for the inspirational photos, Alexa. Love you, Carolyn

day-to-day anxieties require decompression
miraculous healing powers await
courtesy of Mother Nature

strolling through the field of daisies
I make my way to an enchanted forest
flora and fauna unmatched

hiking through the shady trails
canopy of cedars above my head
remarkable wildflowers and ferns line the path

tension releases as I hear the stream
toes dip in refreshing cool waters
summer’s heat alleviates

stress disappears and calmness overcomes
beauty of a Canadian woodland
fills my spirit with peace and joy

heading home in late afternoon
I emerge from the woods
finding God’s artistry in a sky of flaming splendor

my escape
     my path
my connection to the glory of creation

My Precious Mind

Today dawn broke
No sunlight hues with reflections
The sunrise not in the skies
No hypnotic sights
I meditate to the dark blues
Shades of gray
It's all in my head
This really alleviates in my soul
Now perplexed with the calamity of rain
My mind sits and ponders
Thunder predicted
It becomes me instead
The loud rumble
I see visions
of pouring raindrops
The sound on my mind
I am stounded
In reality
This day I see
Challenges me a different way
I sit in solitude to a tune
The melody plays
The drops too play along
The sky so playful in my day
Yet still I see
I challenge the view
Viewpoints all so clear
Calamity ? does it appear
I recollect . I see visions
Of raindrops in my head
They dance to the music
Lightening strikes
And if the power should go out
I still see little candles candles
surrounding me
My precious mind
I'm not that kind
WIth moody blues
Calamity blues
I sense in my life
Is not of false perceptions?
In my eyes that I view....

Premium Member Fairy Dust Power

So she comes flittering over to me
There’s fairy dust coming out of her tail
She’s human, dust of a lovely fairy

This makes a fairy if dust you entail
A rare commodity, a great power
There’s fairy dust coming out of her tail

Others may cry in fear and sure cower
But she is kind and only wants to smile
A rare commodity, a great power

She loves her dust sure has no denial
Her dust allows her to fly up so high
But she is kind and only wants to smile

She alleviates all pain from my side
There is a thorn that used to hurt my soul
Her dust allows her to fly up so high

Only wish I had some dust in a bowl
So she comes flittering over to me
There is a thorn that used to hurt my soul
She’s human, dust of a lovely fairy

J O Y

A smile, a laugh, song, dance or grin,
A peace that seems to never end.
A feeling that flows deeper than emotions;
Greater than a deep blue sea and wider than an ocean.

A joy so powerful, a joy so full,
A joy so awesome on others it will pull.
It penetrates an ice cold room,
It alleviates all the sadness and gloom.

Like sweet juice from a peachy fruit,
That flows down on your three-piece suit.
Joy floods the soul in a similar way,
Lifting you up in the midst of your day.

Joy is Jesus, Others and then Yourself,
It's richness greater than any wealth.
For Jesus will carry you through stormy weather,
Removing oppression, depression, you will feel light as a feather.

Jesus will strengthen you along the way,
You will be encouraged by what Others say.
You, Yourself will have a joy within;
That will put on your face a smile, laugh or grin.

Joy unspeakable, full of joy
A joy so strong, sadness it will destroy.
Joy of the Lord, joy of a song,
Joy, Joy, Joy that makes you strong.

The Crimson Sunset Arising Over The Wind-Swept Moor

No harmful or irksome thoughts
stir this mind to absolute madness,
and away from annoying, frequent sounds:
only peacefulness soothes irritated senses;
I may fall asleep and dream
in a state of false reality,
letting the fanciest fantasy
enter the bloodstream!

The crimson sunset arising over the wind-swept moor
alleviates the mood of daily woes such as this murmur;
the torrid day, unlikely a dry desert, gives into a cool breeze:
nothing is heard above and under but the shrilling of a geese!

All the joyous smiles flashed by others were missed by me,
and the craving was stuck into my throat unable to spit it out
and feel the relief I needed to carry me through a painless night;
firebugs aren't pretty butterflies, they glow and suddenly flee!
