Strong As a Hearts Resistance
Stone partitions
stretching somewhere in the distance
borders beckon cross not here
as strong as a hearts resistance
though intentions are most sincere
cobweb covered disappointments
when trust like ancient ruins turn
Divided by protections wall
closing off and closing in
Defenses unlikely to fall
From distant glance
a palisade of sure protection
beautiful as strength appears
But for all the stones raised round a heart
It alleviates not one of its fears
It suffices only for the warning
at the calling it's drawing near
I'm coming past these stones you've cast
Additions equation by the year
An unsuspecting intruders disguise
clothed in the eyes of a lover
Let me in, I'm drawing closer
Like a chisel bent and aimed for demise
Saying unlike stone you do not hold me
Through times when my world falls apart
Love alone is not enough to own me
like the filling of my empty to impart
For only then can my bulwark
endure the crumble
of the wall encasing my heart
Greet me first with morning joy
Toil with me under the sun
Do not release me under the light of the moon
Of burdens light and laughters fun
Maybe someday when faith is stronger
when it's safe to rest and not to lead
I can live a faith without borders
And of these stone partitions be free
