chiudo i miei occhi
solo per vederti
in frammenti
di ricordi
mentre vanno alla deriva
dentro e fuori
della mia mente
lo so
nell'oscurità
tu esisti
come guardiano
con le ali
guardando ancora
su di noi
non sono pronto
baciarti
addio
sempre più
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i close my eyes
just to see you
in fragments
of memories
as they drift
in and out
of my mind
i know
in the darkness
you exist
as a guardian
with wings
watching still
over us
i'm just not ready
to kiss you
goodbye
forevermore
Gorgon
standing at the edge of time
only sure of it's last breathe
No fight here in between the sheets of urban meth
Fighting with no weapons except Alla gator bite words
From Queen to king torn policies on structured kin
But in the night of surrender true to vacant calls of leanna
At cost to pen my cosmic friend turn ghostly, turned alien call me crazy call my words ripe for the picking
What peyote dreams out does kind with a potion of pair of dice
A sea of cacti lent
That frequency matches the tide that pounding wave of goodbye
When is done Gorgon eats city and towns
Ashore no more and little town of nodders and street hustlers what of me paradigm ends
Anchors away to that day
Saying Goodbye to gravity
Bio
Azteca
As a young girl growing up in Los Angeles City
My mother took me everywhere with her
Our favorite Mexican restaurant had great hospitality
Casa De Nina, I enjoyed the music and she, their famous platter;
Guajolotas o tortas de tamal
Desayuno, plato de huevos rancheros
Champurado and pan dulce de Pasqual
The owner made us feel special, served us our usual
There were, Chicano art hanging
Some of the most authentic were of Azteca
Roots in the primeval instincts enchanting
The details of nature surrounding, alla prima,
A painting of an epitomal Aztec noble prince
A beautiful princess in his arms, bien fe`rma
The traditional cuadro stayed on my mind ever since
There it was, in all places, the painting was everywhere
La Marketa, the textile district, La Golondrina
Pintura’s de Indios Mexicano’s all about the town square
Olvera Street, even in the Mission at the Marina
As soon as I got home, I cleared away the furniture,
from up against the wall
In one hand the print on the calendar
a charcoal pencil in the other I began to sketch it all
A mural has to be painted in close relationship
to the scale, style, and mood of the interior,
With regard to such siting, to eye levels, a very good tip
Considerations as light sources, make realism art superior
I hid the paint from my mother and dad
Unnoticeable as of yet, I drew very lightly
I worked fast with what mediums I had
Brush strokes here and there, ever slightly
Until a finished project, my very first mural
I took her scarf and covered her eyes,
lead her down the hall and pushed the door
I whispered into her ear, s-u-r-p-r-i-s-e
Happy Mother’s Day, I prepared her a little more
With her fingers splayed over eyes and lips
My mother processed, motionless, in awe
Focusing on the corner at the paint drips
she said, I always knew that you could draw
An inspiring experience for the most part
Exhaling—she saw that I was passionate of my Chicana art
Tonight my wife proclaimed, "My dear, we are dining out!"
I said, "Fine! How about steak and taters or rainbow trout?"
"No" she insisted, "I want an exotic Italian dish!"
Alas, I lost another tete-a-tete spousal skirmish!
We arrived at Luigi's or some such place,
And were seated cozily by the glowing fireplace!
We proceeded to order our favorite wine,
And to that point everything was going fine!
The server presented the menu to me.
I needed an interpreter I could readily see.
The longer the bill of fare that I perused,
The more I became addled and confused!
Fettuccine Alfredo, Portobello Gratine, Tortelloni;
Spezzato Cacciatore, Rigatoni Alla Carpinelli;
Linguine Bagutta, Cattaloni Penne Alla Taratina;
Tortelloni All Primavera, Scaloppini and Picata!
My head was spinning but hardly from the wine.
As I tried to figure out upon what I'd like to dine!
I summoned the waiter and said, "If you please,
I'll have a buffaloburger with onions, pickles and cheese!"
Amaryllis splendid beauty, Christmas bells of pride thrill us
Birds of Paradise in flight making its opera debut in its crane plumage crown
Calla Lilly’s endless white elegance bouquet, a peek-a-boo lavender funnel play
Daffodils, shoo-in to scoop arm loads, out of the cold, into the morning sunlight spills
Ephemeral, short-lived and quickly fading beauties, trilliums, and harbinger of spring
Freesia innocence captures your heart trust with its fragrances and sword beauty
Gaura, a wand burst of delicate stars as bee-blossoms sing delightful springtime
Hyacinths, sincerity of fragrant with folded leaves a play bouquet of stars
Impatiens, touch-me-not to bloom anew Bizzy-Lizzy in all its playful trim
Jack-in-the-pulpit Arisaema triphyllum striped showy pining lover male-female as one
Kangaroo Paws their long beautiful stalks attract birds to perch and sip its nectar
Lily of the Valley flowers of spring sweetly scented miasmatic wedding bells
Marigolds brightly shine in bur-pee garden spicing up a dish fresh, and new
Nightshade, adorable soothing little green elfish hat and long flowing pink skirt
Orchids a touch of elegance in its uniquely posture, delicate in its buoyant poetry
Peonies, shades of red to white or yellow fragrant strong and hardy the Flower Fairy
Quinces magical splash of color with thorns heralds spring
Rue, sour herb of grace symbol of purity deterrent kitties and snakes
Sweet Peas reaching to the heavens embraced by the breeze, then flowers fade
Tansy yellow bitter buttons hang dry then boiled to clear amber-yellow dye
Uva-Ursi, grape of the bear blowing pink urn kisses into the air
Voodoo Lily, breathtaking with its height and beauty, not its foul odor attracting buzz
Windflower, star sprinkle flowers in your garden, but easies stomach and cough
Xeronema Callistemon sheer dazzling red toothbrush look perched on cliff top
Yellow Anemone, pure and fresh sleeps at night and wakes at a hint of sun
Zinnias sway with its parade of orange tutus charming wings flavor its beauty
Abecedarian
George worked in a construction company. He spent all his days walking the steel beam but when he got home, he became the master of inventions. One night he borrowed his wife's ironing board and made himself a grilled cheese sandwich by pressing the iron to the bread. It was an ooy-gooey delight. While all the other men sat down to crusty bread, George pulled out his panini forkini pastrami alla bellini. He bit into it with great delight. The mozzarella sang to his tonsils, "Eres bella, Eres bella" Tiano's boombox voice was heard, "Heh George, there are 4 of us," which translated into, "Yo George, where is our bench pressed sandwich?"
That night he got an earful from his wife Juanita Delacruz, the Spanish Queen of complaint. "Dam it George. The ironing board is full of melted cheese and it smells like recycled beef " It was time to take the invention to new heights.
He made a mean machine of good taste. This is how George Foreman was birthed. In George Papadopoulos's shed. Though he was no son of a priest, he knew a blessing when he saw one. He was recompensed by a happy wife
and a jolly foursome crew.
There are rumors going around that it was really invented in some other form or way. I for one will stick to my story dear readers. If I fudged is just a bit please forgive me. Its a tad more entertaining, don't you think ?
Now here is my research paper on the matter, short and sweet.
"Truth be told ? It was promoted by a former boxing champion George Foreman. Since its introduction in 1994, over 100 million George Foreman grills have been sold worldwide.
Inventor?: ?Michael Boehm, Robert Johnson Inception?: ?1994"
Narrative
Hola mi niña preciosa
te escribo para decirte una sola cosa
que desde que te conocí
mi vida se ha vuelto mas hermosa
Ya pronto de mi lado te marcharas por un rato
y volveras a estar cara a cara con aquel muchacho
y cuando regreses qué me vas a decir?
el final tu lo dictas y yo con paciencia aguanto
Pero si te dijo todo esto es porque te extraño
el poder verte y tomarte de tu mano
y si lo que tienes con él no ha de vivir
dame una chansa y date la oportunidad a un amor sano
Creo por fin a ver encontrado la respuesta
cuando me preguntas cuanto te amo de manera tan directa
quizas esto nunca lo pude predecir
pues mi amor llega mas alla que cualquier cometa
Gracias por todos esos lindos momentos
por volver a despertar en mi estos sentimientos
por todas las veces que me hiciste reir
por permitirme ser parte de tu vida y pensamientos.
Sa isang malamig na sulok ng lilim,
girian ay lumalalim,
liwanag laban sa dilim,
araw ay palubog ng palubog,
dahan-dahan,
mahinahon,
ngunit ang iniwa'y dumudugong kalawakan,
pulang-pula,
ito ay rebolusyon ng pag-ibig,
himagsikan sa araw ni santo valentino,
tulad ng spaghetii al' amatriciana,
sa ating harapan ay lalong namumula,
tumitingkad sa sarap ng salsa de tomates,
pero ang pumupula ng higit ay ang iyong mga pisngi,
napaka-gandang pagmasdan,
makinis,
o kay sarap haplus- haplusin,
nakaka-gigil hagkan,
lalo na sa init ng iyong mga labi,
nais kong madurog,
maanod sa agos ng matinding kaligayahan,
at tuluyang malunod sa nag-aapoy mong mga halik.
Araw ay mistulang nag-laho,
nilamon ng kadiliman,
tanging tanglaw nati'y mga bituing nagni-ningning,
para bagang iyong mga matang nagpu-pungay sa tuwa,
at simoy ng hangi'y lumalamig,
mula dalampasigan hanggang sa dulo ng ating mga puso,
mabango,
sariwa,
parang ensalada de verduras verde,
guacamole,
o kay sarap lasapin,
tulad ng pag-iibigan nating wagas,
may samyo ng lubusang pag-mamahal,
sa kada segundo ng ating mga buhay,
lagi nating pinag-sasaluhan,
nakaka-aliw,
nakaka-tindig balahibo,
nakaka-kilig,
giliw,
sana'y hindi na magwawakas ang lahat na ito.
Maliban sa akasya,
mesang itim,
puting pusa,
sin-puti marahil ng fettuccine alla' carbonara,
wala ng iba pa,
kung hindi'y ikaw at ako lamang,
malaya,
nag-iibigan sa loon ng nakaka-baliw na pag-ibig,
at iyan ay maganda.
Am Fenster die Katze
Voller Spannung zum Sprung bereit
Verfolgt sie den Vogel
Vor dem geschlossenen Fenster
Ist aber die Welt noch in Ordnung
------------------------------------------
The cat at the window
With bated breath for the jump
She pursues the bird
In front of the closed window
The world is yet in order
-----------------------------------------
El gato en la ventana
Con gran expectación del salto
Persigue el pájaro
Delante de la ventana cerrada
Allá el mundo está en orden
----------------------------------------
Il gatto alla finestra
Con il fiato sospeso per il salto
Che persegue l'uccello
Davanti alla finestra chiusa
Il mondo è in ordine
Oh damm what is that last
Allontanai l'immediato impugnando l'ira,
Remisi al vento l'aere sermo,
Onde nei lai l'afflato spira;
E l'eco fa al dolore schermo.
Nodrì la bocca maraviglia,
Attese il fiordo della gola;
Diluminò però le ciglia
Costui, che stando la speranza ruola.
Indifferente il viso nel sentiero,
In fede la meta che sia,
Come il corsaro in sovra del veliero,
Alla tempesta o inver del suo messia.
La spuma orla il calice,
L'ebrezza il suolo àlice:
Per quanto possa alcun fiumare
In sé, la foce non impluvia il mare.
La bolgia distendeva le sue braccia,
Nella frequenza, sempre la medesma,
Che se alla turba gaudio ne procaccia,
Arriva ai nove e d' essi non centesma.
Così discissi nel vano turgore
Dell'impressione ch'al cuore coarta
Tornare a cui lo mosse, il primo Amore,
In terra sol colà dove si apparta.
Ma non confessa quel l'affine
Ago alla meta che s'innava:
Pur non avendo questo il crine
Amor e il viso Invicinava.
Il giro come l'orbita sinuava,
Della quaterna compagnia ducata;
E il modo la timida amata
A me porgeva, e non tremava.
Il sonno ormai l'iridi agguata:
L'azzurro nel sogno s'inciela;
Come rifulge la mano posata,
Così quel sole cui la vista gela.
Perché ritrae lo spirito se anela
l'agire? e in esitare incanta,
mentre scolora del tempo la tela,
Che avria tramato- ed ora ammanta.
Light Verse
In war, there is no noble death,
Just pain and sorrow with each breath.
I perished in a tragic way,
No bravery or courage on display.
My body, once whole, now torn apart,
A lifeless piece of burned-up art.
I cry and scream, but no one hears,
No one to soothe my dying fears.
My dreams and hopes now left behind,
To sacrifice for stupid pride
No chance to live to dream or love
No chance to say a last goodbye
What was the purpose of this fight,
That robbed me of my chance at life?
Why did I have to pay the price,
And be statistic in their dice?
My death was senseless, cruel and grim
My mind now lost, my light grows dim
My heart now aches with this regret,
As I leave this world with much unsaid
I now died….
Amidst peace's promises, war's horrors remain,
Spring brings new life, but love feels in vain.
Lost souls wander, searching for hope,
Pain and heartache, a never-ending slope.
When does it end, this cycle of strife?
When will we lay down our weapons and knives?
Can love conquer all, and heal our wounds?
Or will we be doomed to eternal ruins?
The answer lies not in the hands of fate,
But in the choices we make, before it's too late.
Let peace and love guide our hearts and minds,
And leave war and pain, far behind.
