Premium Member Shadows of the Valley

As crystal glacier, suspended in the onyx air,
bleeds darkness kissed with saline sadness,
clouds tiptoe through trapped phantom winds,
dripping sinister creatures rising from the
egoistic eyes ~ cracked illusions reflecting the underbelly of
fragrant fountains ~ an inverted resemblance of
grotesque monsters lurking in seething spaces,
heinous jaws of the ill-omened ocean, where mermaid madness
is born from the womb of sun-deprived urchins,
jaded and jinxed ~ caging the paranoid demons in a
kaleidoscopic kingdom of paper delirium, spiraling with malicious
laughter ~ an echo of lucid lies and watercolor sin…

Maybe if I kneel on the golden altar of
nocturnal petals, lifting my hands, silencing
oblivious mantras of mania and unheard cries~
place a prayer, adrift in a cursed conch shell,
quivering and sighing sagas to the feathered horizon,
rippling with hope across the vast blue of brokenness,
seeking solace in the footfalls of northern lights~
then might the stars compose a tune, no longer fixated
upon chasing infernal wild roses stirring within
vermilion verses of a psyche haunted by splitting realities~ O twilight wanderers...

Walk with me through the shadows of the valley where
xanthic leaflets gather light to the summons of ravens,
yearning to brush the skyline; where the heart knows no fear of evil, and
Zen, etched in calligraphy, spans the sands of death and hereafter…

Anger Seethes

I look up to see the remnants of greed
I look to my side to anarchy set free

The air is swollen with the despair of past plunder
Serenity is but a void complacent to none other

Gone are the days of freedom and glee
Stupidity reigns, a shower cures H.I.V?
Misconstrued talks, all end in facetious decree
Don't alk about education for it holds only lightness

Abuse of trust, usurp all you can, yet still no one taught
People in high places secure theft money with no effort
Look away innocent for you must not judge,
Your voice is your silence, do not hold a grudge

Freedom was our key handed to us in 1994
Alas our country to dire straits she has brought

Our upcoming elections on 22 April 2009 will place Jacob Zuma (a.k.a rapist, murderer, fraud
theft and liar) as the South African president. If his party gains a 66% majority (which is
highly likely) he will be able to change the constitution and thereby not serve his sentence for
rape. murder, fraud, theft and stupidity - look out Zimbabwe, here comes South Africa!

T alk to your children about life’s mystery
H elp them to understand
E xplain it in terms that they relate to; don’t make it confusing or bland

B iology shouldn’t be scary or embarrassing
I t’s simply a fact of life
R efusing to address it when our children are young
D evelops a lesson learned later with strife
S ex shouldn’t be a topic taken too light

A voiding the discussion only adds to the sense
N atural emotions and feelings are wrong
D on’t let your children learn it from others; be open, forthcoming and strong

T each them about the birds and the bees
H earing it from you will help build trust
E ventually they will feel comfortable talking and sharing about their own feelings to us

B abies being made is a beautiful thing
E veryone needs to learn – it’s a must
E ven if it’s a topic we need help discussing
S how your kids you are someone to trust

Living life's mysteries near and far
In times of good and bad Faith has brought me through a many a scar Enemies and friends were just a fad
Singing songs daily to the Lord

My life has been running fast
Your words sound like one beautiful cord
Sometimes I was in hell but that was in my past
Talk about heavenly things
Everyone has their point to tell Running until the angel bell rings
I do not know what to write-oh well
Eeven when I do not know what to say
Some days I just need to pray

A Dream In the Woods

As we walk in the woods
we talk
he spoke his gental words
as we alk
we talked
as we reached the end of the woods
we sit by the fire
as we watched the flames
I turned and looked in his eyes
and saw it
i saw what i wanted
It wasn't him
it wasn't anything around
it was someone to love
someone to really know me
Someone to care about
my existence
The person i longed for

Behind the lively discourse is to fill the placement
Lovely familiarity before the main statement
After gallivanting the parlor is the pavement
Nice conversation, just void of any argument
Direct intentions, hidden in sweet scenting fragments
Indirect message, passing through a nice compartment
Sentences, garnished in honey for any treatment
High is the soul, not knowing of a waiting shipment
Mere praises, soaked in the bloated tales of achievement
Each applause, a segment to land into the moment
Not a clue, what is coming as the main part augments
Talk for loyalty, the formula for some government
Silver is made gold in words to push for a movement
