Innocense

ah yes so sweet the tender heat,
the blazing inbuilt fire,
estacy like popcorn sweet,
engulfs us with desire...

Don Johnson 19-july-11

love was sweet but in the past,
loving thoughts of other times,
never thought i'd be alone,
solo, single, doin my time.
Don

Half Cocked

Half Cocked

If life was sweet as buttercups
we wouldna have to say wassup
and as I slipped into your room
your figure shining with the moon
you gasped with seeming utter shock
as i smoked a pipe of havelock.............(old tobacco)
we came together neath the stars
and Jupiter he belted Mars
they put me in the JPs dock
said johnson had gone off half cocked

Don Johnson ....

Thank you sultry sweet Janine
your comments sweet, i'll lay between
and love will flow serenely not
steam and passion hot hot hot...
love Don

Tribulations

Tribulations

ah well i guess we never will
have a need for the good old pill
goodnight sweet lady not to dance
or feel the taste of sweet romance

and often by the moons cold light
I saw her face record delight
But that was just the other night
Since then she casts no favour

So sitting here beneath the moon
I see her face but much too soon
My lady seemed about to swoon
No, she’s another raver?

So taken by the shortened breath
Left alone and desolate
Perplexed as anger burns and yet
Should I resort to strangers

The drink goes down the eyes do glaze
I’m in this queerest bar
A shiela sweet our eyes do meet
Soon heading for my car

We get undressed, though I’m depressed
The warning sign they are
She has no breast upon her chest
Oh no, it’s a bloody shirt lifterrr ?

Don Johnson 6-may-11

Haunted Trail

We'll walk the haunted trail tonight
Lighted only by the cresent moon,
Amist the piney woods
The beheaded ghostmen
Searches for candy,
He has a mean sweet tooth.

If you feel a cool chill
Creeping down your spine and
Smell a sweet fruit aroma...
Drop your candy sack
Then run, lickety split!

If he doesn't get the candy...
Your life he will devour!!!!

Voyager-A Slight Revision

what news o' wandering voyager-
do ye bring this earthly home
what knowledge new uncovered
amid the glinting stars alone

what ancient lore yet unexplored
in fields of soaring stone
what secrets fair lie in thy care
that to man remains unknown

and what of Jove and all his kin
so distant and forlorn
are they merely sleeping all
and wait to be reborn

and with the great Orion
did ye hold communique
fierce hunter of the universe
so very far away

did he then relate to thee
or show ye that which no one sees
'twould ease the mind to know the truth
of lifes sweet mysteries

no icy chill would death instill
if truly it were known
when life is gone the soul lives on
beyond this flesh and bone

what news o' wandering voyager-
do ye bring to bear
of advent or of covenant
in which mortals never share

and yet i do not envy thee
this i freely must confess
no mortal pure could long endure
that endless emptiness

not prince nor king of Avalon
would ever climb that stair
none but God alone has tread
that astral thoroughfare

what news o' wandering voyager-
do ye send from out the void
what strange wayfarers found ye there
among the errant asteroid

though long ago thy fiery steed
did bear thee far away
what shall we learn on thy return
if ever comes the day

what sign or sense will guide thee hence
unto old familiar skies
though countless stars around ye mill
and cosmic winds blow hard and shrill
will ye then remember still-
which way sweet arda lies.

Summer Consumes Me

Summer Consumes Me

Summer your salty ocean breeze brings
the call of the wild out of me,
I hear the thunderous lion's roar and
swishing and screeching of the red butt monkeys
in the trees full of green leaves,
I hear the chorus of the chirping,
tweeting, cawing of the fastidious
bird's mating calls.

The swirling scent of the hot sun beaming
off my concrete jungle brings my mind
to a hazy state of mind,
as your lazy days unwind.

I smell the sweet lingering smell of
tropical coconut oil and chlorine
in the seat of my beach towel
covered leather seats,
as the beach boys croon to me
of California surfing days and
bikini clad girls.

The pungent, unpleasant smell of the
doggy doo that relentlessly clings to
my strappy sandal as I scrape it
against the rough asphalt of the
pool's parking lot.

The sweet tangy smell of barbecue
grilling on a charcoal grill
 and the sounds of sizzle
coming from my
neighbor's backyard.

The crisp smell of green hot money
that a freshly folded
burning a hole in my pocket,
"saying spend me
go ahead just spend me!"

The aromatic smell of ripe red cherries
and succulent sweet watermelon swells
through the summer air and fuses with the
smell of the neighbor's fresh cut summer grass,
as the buzz and hum of his lawn mower wakes me up
too early in the morning.

The mixture of aromas from the gyros, corn dogs and cotton candy
as food vendors obnoxiously pitch their mouth watering temptations
from the crowded venue of our movies and concerts on the bricks
at centennial olympic park.

The sounds of my heart slowly drifting away
to breezy memories of steamy love from
summers of yesterday.

I smell the musty lust that pours from my head
as the power of summer consumes me.

An Oldcity

A fellow humor smoothens a sight
When armor links and began to fight
Archers lowered when they pass
And whistle a blow as they has

The shadow call for shine
Or it twinkle every line
When you should laughed to faught to signed
It never hump so they will be kind

Even a sweet tame
Or as a long fame
When there was no grain
You looked liked a chain

T he room was dark
And hallowed fall was mark
When glamorous sings for every hived
It takes sweet fall of blind

It touches foot of stone
For nothing was left alone
On the city where no one was called
When an angel drops a human fold

As the buffalos came along to string
to far along
And wind blows like a whistle song

Every street was full of darkness
Every rocky street was full of happiness
When it shievers a lot
When was the las time of pot

Hollyness was gone
When thieves came along to fun
No One ever thaught
Of kindness of every man they caught

It shares a lot for me
But how can you be a great bee
When a lot of humors came to flee
And a danger zone came to be.

As people cry for humanity
No one else came for their dignity
Every divine divinity
Was hung for sadness and humility

I t takes a walk for every mile of hope
To share a light to cope
It solds a mine for them to eat
And wash thier own feet.
