Lord, please tell us how we can be blessed?
Shall I tell you who of these are blessed?

Receiving the kingdom of heaven,
the lowly, poor in spirit are blessed.

Receiving solace, comfort, those who
sorrowfully grieve and mourn are blessed.

Being satisfied, those who hunger
yearn, and thirst for righteousness are blessed.

Receiving compassion and mercy
the merciful, graciously, are blessed.

Seeing the face of the living God
the untainted, pure in heart are blessed.

Being adopted as sons of God,
peacemaking reconcilers are blessed.

Receiving the kingdom of heaven,
those aggrieved for virtue's sake are blessed.

Receiving great reward in heaven,
those reviled on my account are blessed.

From Matthew 5, the Beatitudes, recast as a Ghazal with 9-syllable couplets

He began to teach them

Saying

Blessed are the poor in spirit
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven
Blessed are they who mourn
For they will be comforted

Blessed are the meek
For they will inherit the land
 Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness
For they will be satisfied

Blessed are the merciful
For they will be shown mercy
Blessed are the clean of heart
For they will see God

Blessed are the peacemakers
For they will be called children of God
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you

Utter every kind of evil against you (falsely) because of me
Rejoice and be glad
For your reward will be great in heaven
Thus they persecuted the prophets who were before you [MT 5:2-12]

Beatitudes

I closed my eyes to the pain
and all I saw was beauty
your beauty
caressing the blues away
I gathered ice for the swelling
but certain swelling
I didn't want to go away

there were pills
penetrating from your pupils
staring directly into my sky
now a blushing hue
of scarlet
traipsing the plateaus
of your soul

it was more than mere love
or admiration
intimacy held the door
as other gentlemen sauntered away
I stayed, piercing my friendship
to your bosoms
suckling the nipple
of your beatitudes
laying down in the wisdom
written upon your skin

it was no sin to love you
and it never will
I will bide my time
just on the other side of the darkness
and in the morning
I'll be waking
in the sparkling aura
that is you

Don't speak of God's redemptive healing
while practicing competitions in marketing fear,
and self-righteous anger,
and xenophobic hate.

Don't expect voices for democratic integrity
from bodies raised for overpowering secular mendacity.

Don't listen for wealthy cooperation indoors
where speakers shout in supremacy against healthy outdoor profits
and prophets.

Don't anticipate ecological health
where no theological wealth
has gone before
to prepare love's multicultural way.

Don't expect us to invite your messages
without prior investment in cooperatively mediating channels.

Don't hope for ecstatic transport
without enchanting everyday polypathic communion
right where and when and why you HereNow already are.

Don't invest faith in secular wonders
without first finding a sanctuary
caring for internal sacred awe.

Don't hope for celebrating outdoor public voices
without divesting of competing inside private tyrants.

Don't speak of love
while practicing hate
with tools of fear.

Don't curse or even talk
where you have not yet sacred walked.

The Beatitudes C

"Blessed are the peacemakers," He saith
seek to end conflicts wherever you are;
just as thy body that needs to bathe
so end quarrels near and far.

"...for they shall be called sons of God,"
isn't this just a nice reward?
imagine to bear this honorary title
love's never too big or ever too little.

Well let's start this first at home
begin with thy parents and thy mate;
as a soap cleanses with lots of foam
make peace present like a phrase well said.

Even if you never achieve the results
it still counts, you've tried your best;
just remember to stop insults
to God we trust, He does the rest!

Amen!

One of the Beatitudes in Matthew 5 states:
"Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called sons of God."

Amen!

The Beatitudes B

"Blessed are the merciful,"
to God do remain true;
shower kindness upon others
thyself receive a bonus!

"for they shall obtain mercy,"
this shows us so clearly;
that God rewards good deeds
as the shoreline doth recedes.

Isn't it nice that God demands this?
Isn't it wonderful to achieve this bliss?
indeed He saith again and again
love thy neighbour let thy love remain.

Till the day Jesus comes from the sky
practice this words by and by;
when we see His face in all glory
that'll be the end of this short story.

Amen!

One of The Beatitudes in Matthew 5 states:
"Blessed are the merciful
for they shall obtain mercy."

Amen!

The Beatitudes 1

"Blessed are you when they abuse and persecute you,"
O' Lord, the trials i do go through;
but count me blessed as Thy prophets of old
singled out, but in the fold.

"Rejoice! and be exceedingly glad,"
no, i am sane, not truly mad!
to smile alive when abuses fly
needing patience in sorrows' guise.

"For great is your reward in Heaven,"
Amen, O' Lord, far from the heathen;
i just can't wait Lord, for that reward
so settle here, as the flames be hot.

"For so they persecuted the prophets of old,"
i am in bliss, not ever sold;
Thy words give me courage, making me bold
Thy love embrace me, never too cold.

So Lord, i treasure Thy words to heart
keeping me safe, making me smart;
never to mould, never to rut
but in His Hands, never to part.

Amen!

The Beatitudes in Matthew 5, states:
"Blessed are you when they abuse
and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil
falsely against you for My sake;
rejoice! and be exceedingly glad,
for great is your reward in Heaven;
for so they persecuted the prophets
of old before you."

Amen!

Confirmations of the 8 Beatitudes of Jesus

I'm humble
mine is the kingdom of heaven
I'm mourning
I'll be comforted

I'm meek
the earth is my heritage
I'm hungry & thirsty for righteousness
I will be satisfied

I'm merciful
I'll obtain mercy
I'm pure of heart
I'm seeing God

I'm a peacemaker
I'm called son of God
I'm persecuted for the sake of righteousness
Mine is the kingdom of heaven

Beatitudes

i have taken
your spirit soaked in poverty
blessed are knocking on the doors
you rain on me
i have borrowed
your mournings and its comforts
we lie on the sand singing
i have pledged your
meekness to inherit the dancing earth
we dance to the tune of love
i have stolen
your hunger and thirst, justice prevail
and we are full, mercy we give, they
are merciful, i see, we eat steak
and drink red wine of water
i have joined the purity in your tender
heart heaven is visible now we are
i have inherited your peace n we are the
children of love
they persecute us for the sake of our
righteousness ours
is the kingdom
we escape to the end of the hunting world
preparing for the rapture

Beatitudes

Blessed be the dreamers,
for they know how to hope.

Blessed be the mothers,
for they know the value of life.

Blessed be the faithful,
for they know the power of prayer.

Blessed be the wanderers,
for they know the ways of the world.

Blessed be the silent,
for they know how to truly listen.

Blessed be the teachers,
for they know the joy of a child.

Blessed be the lost,
for they know how it feels to be found.

Blessed be the joyful,
for they know the importance of laughter.

The Beatitudes

As a Christian hope,
Beatitudes, the Magna Carta of faith;
teach us so many things,
that make us united to believe
and have trust in God's ways.

They show us like a mirror,
a reflection of what we share,
in a true and meaningful behavior
to human understanding.

There's a labyrinthine cycle
that focuses on Divine fulfillment.
to walk with God;
to look beyond the surface
of what life reveals.

As a challenge, a commitment,
God's love never ends
especially for the poor
with whom Christ identifies,
His love and compassion.

Having faith in Him,
and being part of His circle
His body, the Church.
One becomes holy and saint
in the language we profess.

Be happy attitude -
that's how it goes;
Remembering what lies ahead
a future filled with hope;
the beatitudes . . .
God's constant promises to keep.

The Beatitudes

What is it you crave? Song? It has not been long enough for my breath to play
stealth in dedication of love gone. I know you know this love life was designed for
persistence to glow and life to grow, allow the prosperity without surrender and
show your face with graceful smiles. No disgrace or shame nor exiled blame, only
pride of a love you think fondly of. Walk at my side, your soft hand inside the grip of
mine and sunshine lights our desired path; through breeze we share a laugh. The
calm trees shade hurt that recedes un forgave back through root to dirt. Supply my
mind with wine then subside and be my love divine, know my thoughts at all time;
show my hands the knots upon your spine and unwind my love. Bygone pressure
forgot, collapse and gasp your breast on thy chest strain the hasp that holds the
heart lock. The door is open, so without knock enter and I will be there; fair in offer
of kiss and vows of forever. Yes, you are my wish.
