“Ink Artist Kat Von D Baptized, Leaves
The Macabre Behind”
“It’s never been clearer, there's a spiritual battle taking place” —Von D. Kat tossed materials that celebrated witchcraft and the occult: Tarot, books, her favorite dark chapeau. Trends go, or end in extreme measures. Sheep roam, following any shepherd. A spray of paint flies hither and yon from the needle of her ink gun.

across the pond tippy-toe
wetted I be soaked

Dear John the Beloved,
spread me; your gospel
and be baptized in my Jordan...
let your tongue speak diverse kisses to my lips
as you read and flip through the heavy breasted pages of Psalms
simmering slowly down the breadth of my nude hips
with tickling fingerings, way down to Jordan,
where I'd baptize you - my convert;
in streams of cums and echoes of holy moans
as you pray open my liquid pool that drowns you
with the thrusting of the sceptre
between your Pillar which is the master key.
and me?
I lie, beneath your Depth; a quivering flesh
suspended from reed fragile bone
to be revived by the Prophet.

My life a poem, forego the count,
that comes in threes and fours
The space between to catch new breath,
that time may now allure
These moments gifted more than once,
constant in their prayer
Whose vow will cast the river wide
—new words to baptize there

I'm beginning to heal
and it is so freeing
The beating of
My own drums
My lyrics are shining
Dancing to
my own beat
My songs are
being sung
I'm a new star
Sparkling and shining
I don't need no rhyming
The gifts in
my own head
They rock to
the beat of
My own timing
Move over you
Self absorbed
Psychopath
I'm being baptized
into my own skin

i never thought i would feel this way,
but i wanna be everywhere you are
even when we cannot be,
i imagine that i am there with you
all the colors of the world have the perfect hue
the brightness of the sun has rays that perfectly heal
the greenery adds zest to the beauty already divinely created
even the rain is soothing to the touch
like all water, you make everything in my world beautiful
i do not see myself as being 'trapped' with you for life
rather, i see myself Baptized in the Holy Waters of You
when i come up to breathe, i feel New and Improved
i never thought i would feel this way,
but i wanna go anywhere you go....near and far....

dear grayson capps...
you don't know me
i doubt you ever will
i'm just the nobody
you met at phoenix hill
at the bar before the show
i bought you a brew
i said "i'm a nobody"
you said "i'm a nobody too"
i drove all that way
just to see your show
cause there were things
that you needed to know
i told about my life
and how i used to be
and how your words
inspired changes in me
we parted ways
and you took the stage
i felt honored when
you mentioned my name
"a couple of nobodies"
you said out loud
pointing to me standing
out in the crowd
my pain and sorrow
lead to the slaughter
down to the river
baptized in your muddy water
