Bade Mother Nature at the dawn
Bring forth the trees, grow tall, grow tall
Beneath them lay a gentle fawn
Being sheltered, waits for night to fall.

They will dutifully face their fate
Anxious, they can only watch and wait
Always finding danger on their way
As the sun rises on a new day.

I Bade the Lion Hello

Stars this night resemble stilled fireworks right before they explode.
Porch light on, wooden gates unlocked, I begin to walk along a dry desert wash.
Underneath the moon's illuminating light, cotton woods cast dark shadows which capture my attention.
In my  view are stringy Chollas, elegant Mesquite trees, some giant Saguaros.

Let me take away your heartache, 
Let me bear your unbound pain. 
For I don't want you going through, 
All that suffering again.

Au Bade To Monogamy

Slipping from the sheets,
her feet touch the carpet with regret.
She tips to the shower.
In, then out.  Leaving last night’s sins
spiraling down the drain.

Dressing quietly and quickly,
she applies her red lipstick.
First, heavy.
