Be Responsible With Your Words

People of God
Let us be responsible
With what we speak
It's easy to accuse a person
Something you can't prove
That's irresponsibility
Don't accuse anyone
If anything you can't prove
Not even your enemies
And don't talk against
Someone on their backs
Don't backbite anyone
When they don't know
What you're talking about
Don't destroy their reputation
Don't character assassinate them
Even though they are considered your enemies
That's why He said love your enemies
Be responsible with your words
A person who's irresponsible with his words
Is a person that is not worth one centavo of respect.

A Proven Fact

Politicians will lie,
to hold on to their power.
But in election years,
they’ve learned how to cower.
They couldn’t care less,
about the rank and file.
Though they’ll face a camera,
and flash you a smile.

They pass out some freebies,
and each other backbite.
Many have managed,
to overstay their invite.
Some admit they’ve never,
worked an actual job.
Most are slicker than Teflon,
on a glass door knob.

But all aren’t this way,
though I’m seeming to rush.
To paint all politicians,
with the same brush.
Democrat and Republican,
They can’t get along.
And when congress is convened,
it’s the next verse of song.

Choices

Your loved ones, childhood friends
sticks to you, mostly when you reign
The ones you danced with in the rain
most of them, kinda appreciate your pain

You are loved with pure hate
we get hurt, but we still extend our arms for them to take
The Judas in our lives
The good bad kissers
The ones we sweat for, bloody Samaritan's

The ones that hide claws
The ones that show us their jaws
They give us filtered Joy
They backbite us, and then smile to us at sunrise

Would you choose loneliness instead of disappointment?
Or you would choose affliction, and fake appointment
Would you embrace love from your haters?
or you would rather, bleed for your lovers!

Restrain

To restrain your anger is quite a challenging chore
When you're being mistreated in a way you abhor
If someone confronts you with a rude attitude
Chill. Stay cool. It's better than starting a feud

When a big mouth bully starts rattling your cage
Harness your temper without flying into a rage
Don't do anything that would make you lose control
Irritation's not worth the risk of damning your soul

Being patient will help you to keep your composure
Intimidating people should be kept in an enclosure
Stifle the inclination to launch a rampaging attack
Repress your tongue when they start talking smack

Be steadfast by not allowing them to pick a fight
Even when they lie about you with a nasty backbite
Button you lip, get a grip, and take the high road
Laugh at those trolls who like to taunt and goad

People who pick on others have a demented mind
They think they're cool, but are deaf, dumb and blind
Don't speak to them. A waste of time, talking to fools
who have the perverse disposition of stubborn mules

Misnomer

The sky was filled with starlight,
clear as transparent glass.
Yet everyone seemed uptight -
the judges who ruled en masse,
earthly stars who shone over-bright.

A winner would be chosen tonight -
one whose talent could not pass,
one whose speaking would ignite,
one whose manner boasted crass
one whose dress was way-too-tight,

Miss Nomer true, would have no might.
yet she’d become the favored lass
who'd speak out for her city's spite -
in a state of civil impasse,
with its past of assault outright.

The sky transparent filled the night
the starlight was but broken glass.
The also-rans who rued their plight
attacked Miss Nomer's verbal sass
who stood her ground with sharp backbite.

Speak Like a Man

Speak like a man and don’t be afraid!
Don’t be feared by the power
bestowed on his creed.

For once, stand up and at least
do what is right!
Otherwise choose to talk
and do the backbite.

Speak like a man and never pull back!
Don’t let coercion eat you.
At least start to fight back!

For you know what is better.
You deserve to feel better.
Otherwise choose to do nothing and end up having nothing.

Speak like a man and be courageous!
Don’t hide your inner strength- Make it glorious!

For the love of yourself,
speak up and be yourself.
Otherwise choose to be unheard
and be in a mad herd.

Winter Guard En Garde

 melting snowball

Fall-out started with the spring-break competition;
Errors were made as team effort slid downhill.
Then when name-calling sparked a partition,
esprit-de-corps broke to a stand-still.

“Butterfingers!” the dig of choice,
sabers, rifles drop in flight.
“Cretin!” answers a voice,
winter guard backbite.

“Bozo, Clod, Clown”
teenage jeers,
meltdown -
tears.

Your War, Not Mine

You curse me. You mock me. You laugh at me instead of with me.

You backbite me. You silently desire to physical injure me. Why are you at

war with yourself? Who has errected your pillar of rage within the confine of

your heart and mind? I don't even know you. If you are at war with yourself, then this

                                                   is not mine,

                                              I am at peace.

End of Times

We are in the end of times. Get your life right. Jesus is coming back like a thief in the
night. If you like to fight, backbite, and bicker, judgement is real. Hells fires are hot
and your soul will forever flicker. There are many, many, signs. We are in the end of
times.

A Poet Without a Soul

What impresses you to write those stanzas you write?
Emotional fires are supposed to ignite so bright a poet’s appetite!
All words and superficial emotions
Meaningless verbs causing devious commotion!
What guides your fingers across those keys?
Obviously from your poetry, you have a spiritual disease!
Even heartache can’t guide your finger tips
It’s called a “snake to backbite into the night on friendships

Let me help you ride ocean tides beyond the sunset
Your dying inside with so much regret!
Take my hand; I understand your drowning in the deep blue
I have a plan but it must remain between me and you
Take that warmest memory and hold it tight
It’s in your poetry, that hungry parasite!
Trapped in a maze by a spiritual smoke screen
Set those demons ablaze and add more gasoline

Your like tarnished diamond rings, rusted are your heartstrings
Your unable to see the beauty in spring, and you know it
You’ve tried just about everything but you’ve succumbed. Your now a soulless poet!

Get To Know Me First

I am different and so are you, and that’s God’s handy work.
He is a God of variety, and creative too, if we was the same
Life would be boring, sad, and blue.

I had an instant with a colleague of mine, who didn’t get to
Know me at all. In a very short time he judge, and backbite,
But God gave me the grace to love him and stand tall.

We will go through persecution, tribulations, trials and all,
Not exempt from these issues, when we think we stand we fall.
But the world will not see the good that’s within. Once they are
Spiritually blind, and not free from sin.

There are good and bad in everyone, and not our place to judge,
Take time to find the good, and speak the words we should.
We know the world would never change, but we must do our part,
Be constant, persistent, and let God’s love shine through
Our heart.

I prayed over the matter, and let God have his way,
That my colleague would realize we’re different in a unique way.
What the devil meant for evil, God has a divine plan,
Now we talked over the matter, and sealed with the shake of hands.
