The Appointment

He has an appointment,
In the Big Smoke,The Great Wen
and if successful I will of course provide indubitable support, keep in touch, on occasion visit.
He reveals "It's with an artist."
"Wow, anyone I know". "What's the job?"
"Unlikely Dad, but he's massively respected in his field....tattooing. It's not an interview. I'll be back tomorrow after he's finished."
Following realisation all I can muster is "Cool" a poor attempt at acceptance.
We go through the expected. Surety. Who? What? Where?
It was always going to happen.
A music production degree without body art is, I believe an auto fail.
And deep down I wished it was me, confident, carefree, au courant,
Once I possibly was, so I'll tell him it looks sensational, cool.

Strawberry Kisses

"Strawberry Kisses"

temptation
covert operatives

brush contact 99
coquettish Smart near misses

flirtatious crispness
in the velvet time sliding

softly persuasive
dead dropping

hungry ghosting gumshoes hubristic
dangling dripping words delicious

on tongue twisters
birdwatching the blowback

poiesis ripe
for swallows and ravens

chasing bell ringing
black buried au courant bluebirds out

better than late
Merry Christmas

lips for speaking
freshly plucked

smiles
succulent kisses

cool spooning
for the slightly touched

golden goose pretense
of an au courant coffer —
rags rich on his breath

Premium Member Seasons

There are seasons in the sorrows
Morrow's foretaste of rhythm
Seeding frost bitten sentiment
In breathless grace
Au courant of prescience break
Hastily deliquesce by ardor laze
Bequeathed in blooms
A blushing spring on thirsty banks
Until suns and moons
Give rite to sleet
The life that was
Once more shall sleep
