Ascertains Poems

Premium MemberSecrets of the Sandman

There’s a quiet time known as dusk
as the orbs of heaven pass
    When departs from forest’s clearing
       a pixie of a lass

    A partner to the sandman
      on babes she sprinkles dust
Though the sandman gets the credit
      the pixie’s his brain-trust

    First of all she ascertains
      if an infant’s sleeping
    Then softly through the nursery
      to the crib she’s creeping

    Preparing babies for her partner
with his iconic bag of sand
The enchanted dust this pixie sprinkles
      wings infants' souls to fairyland

Caged Bird's Appeal

Because I am confined to a little cage
no one ascertains my songs offstage
When I can't spread my tethered wings
or when I can't accept the intricate things,
I soberly weep in my own cage

But you envisage it as a song
for,people are always wrong.
Performing songs for you for the ages,
May I know what' s my wage?
please let me free at least one day

I wanna see the colors of roaring skies;
and swing in branches of the trees
I wanna fly across the water falls
to eschew the human calls,
I wanna perform on the world's stage
because I am confined to a little cage

Assuming My Role In the Diorama

I awake with the question "Am I like my predecessor?"
Automated and fabricated to slave for the oppressor
I join the procession yet I am an orbate transgressor
Dissipated and attenuated with no clear successor

Then I drift into much more lofty domains
With greater rewards yet more precarious terrain
A place where answers can not quite be explained
Where the mind is confounded but the spirit ascertains

Then I shower and shave; I sigh and greet the day
Will it be my chagrin or triumph I put on display?
In my head I have a tempest, in my heart a bouquet
I must choose which one to portray, which one to obey

Multicombustional

A warhorse weapon is neither weak nor strong when faced with a current charge. For charging is not just applicable to cattle. It is also discovered in islands less dominant. But Buddhists don't eat onions. Or do they? Imagination is a fragrance. And a dome dimension in a coffee is a different specie than a frog in an apron. Apparently apparatus ascertains apparitions. But aspersions are best left to a deviant bus driving upside-down on a highway. Highway man of a curve. How cute. How ornate. Haha haha xxxxx ornithological orifices and a multi coloured. Xxxxxx counter intelligence waltzes with multidiscombobulation. Z z z z z z

The Traveller

The traveller's morning starts early
With crisp and clear intent
Way before the sun is shaken
Both be with the birds awake

The traveller's plan stays open
No clear direction can be set
Each day will pass more slowly
With every moment savoured

The traveller's journey is not counted
It is not distance that ascertains
The mindset is of more importance
Than the miles covered or claimed

The traveller's heart is willing
To all things, people and ways
Behind is left misconception
Replaced with a love of each place

The traveller's evening ends later
Many thought to log, to record
As a day traveller spends travelling
Is a day spent never to forget

Flame

December 04, [1984] is a special day.
The birth of my niecey changes our ways.
Light a fire to rejoice childbirth.
She is a flame glimmering in the world.
Name gave - Flame V - supernova seed
Autism spectrum emerged at 2.
     She inspires and motivates.
She ascertains to live resiliently.
Elated this year for thirty years

Green Bananas

A time is reached in life if one remains
Alive to tell the tale: those certain things
He once performed routinely, ascertains
The notion, habits must desist which brings
About awareness: His mortality.
Employment ends; Retirement is here.
The monthly saving wanes. Frugality
submits to lavish tastes. The thirty year
Installment loan is paid. But now he’s glum.
He now forbears purchasing bananas
That are unripe for fear his death may come
before they ripen. Shakespeariana
Unfolding: Final act that yields a frown:
The man’s demise, they ring the curtain down.

#308 Walking Through

Walking through
As the door stands open
Another door awaits beyond
The night is resting, the glass
A barrier against life
Which ascertains in thought
The choice which is to be
Open the other door.
Fret the hand
No motion to move the soul forward
Does not the clock continue?
The door still awaits
To be opened as I,
As I turn away.
