Premium MemberDripping With Love On Valentine's Day

Mr. Langford owned a candy store that was slow all year round.
Except for Valentine's day when it was filled with spangled eyed lovers
coming in for sweets and armloads of red roses in the shape of hearts.
red as a cherry sweet as a berry
it was Valerie, Mary or Cheri
sherry on the ferry, roses from Gasperi
One day the truck did not deliver the flowers on time. Poor soul sat forlorn to think and before he knew it, he fell asleep. Into his dreams a Cupid came, snapped his fingers 1 2 3 , heartsie flowers everywhere.
Quick now don't you tarry
there are lots of girls to marry
Cupid worked his magic, light and airy
While a watchful eye went up the room was infused with a beautiful scent
Cupid old boy you did it again, now I can pay my rent...
Lany old boy its a trick I deploy
then he sang like a choirboy
a Cherub Pillsbury Doughboy
While the spangled eyed lovers came in once again. To buy sweets
and an armload of roses, dripping with love and little heart shaped buds
the whispered " I love you, do you love me too ?"

Premium MemberMaggie and the Valentine Roses

"Dear man with eyes of finest wheat, I'm hungry and I have nothing to eat "
Said the beggar to the florist who had an armload of floral work to do
She showed up every Valentines Day to pick up her free bouquet
her sweet smile and soft voice charmed him in a special way
"You are relentless Maggie, " he would say with a twinkle in his eye
as he handed her a dozen roses with a jovial grin...
She would stand at the curb and sell them one by one as they walked by;
One February day it was as cold as the Dickens, and no one showed up
Scrunching a blanket in a corner she hugged her twelve roses and fell asleep
"Wake up pretty Maggie" came the voice of a rose who had seen better days
but she slept slept and slept, no Prince Charming to sweep her away
the next year arrived no smile at the window no roses for Mag.
In all of his life he had never encountered a more beautiful rose such as she,
what he didn't know was before she died, she imagined his eyes
and entered the heavens, for free.

Premium MemberMemories That Just Won'T Go

Shivering me, lost in thoughts of falling snow
with eyes impaled on lights that blink and glow
I watch the Christmas scene unfold and flow
into a stitch of time, that hours can't un-sew

The little girl in me that once took life in toe
has disappeared from view and now I must forgo
the ringing of the bells this year, for I am still
standing at the window waiting for you, Bill

Bereavement sucks and life can be a cruel blow
I am still trying to figure out this slippery hill
In my hands I hold three stones that I can't throw
and an armload of love that death can never kill

Perhaps through this I can traverse and grow
into a brilliant star of heaven and instill
the light that I once held that shone at will
inside these memories, that just won't go...

Premium MemberAutumn Arrives Meditation

A WELCOMING AUTUMN ARRIVES AT OUR DOORSTEP BRINGING AN ARMLOAD OF COLORS RICH AND BRIGHT. THE MYSTIFYING COLORS OF THE SUN GIVES WAY TO THE RUSSET LEAVES OF BEAUTY AS WE SPOT THE SUNLIGHT TINGED WITH COPPER BLOND AND BURGUNDY. GO AHEAD, WELCOME THE SEASON.(BREATHE)
WE FEEL THE BREEZE AS IT TOUCHES OUR CHEEK AND SINGS THROUGH OUR HAIR WITH SONGS OF AFFECTION. FALL, ITS THE PASSAGE OF TIME THAT ACTS LIKE A WARM BUFFER. A PRELUDE TO BRIGHT WINTER DAYS. (BREATHE)
DANCE IN THE LEAVES AND HUG THE BEAUTIFUL BARING TREES. THEY
LONG FOR YOUR WARM ARMS AND YOUR HUGGABLE FRAME. TRUST IN THE ADVENTURE THAT GOD'S HAS PREPARED. WALK THROUGH THE GENTLE PATH AND HUM A TUNE TO THE LITTLE SQUIRRELS AS THEY HAPPILY CLIMB, THEN SCURRY THIS WAY AND THAT (BREATHE)
FEEL THE SNUG SENSATION OF MOHAIR CLOTHING AND CHURCH YOUR
THOUGHTS ON BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES THAT TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY
AUTUMN IS A TIME TO RESTORE YOUR ENERGIES AND HELP YOUR BODY FIND EQUALITY AND BALANCE.
A WELCOMING AUTUMN ARRIVES AT YOUR DOORSTEP, DEAR AND PRECIOUS AS YOUR OWN HEART. BE AWARE OF THE SEASON , GIVE YOURSELF A REASON TO GO OUT AND ENJOY THE CHANGES OF LIFE AND SEASON.(BREATHE)

Premium MemberThe Snail

The snail is one of God’s creatures.
In his home in the forest land
He keeps the ground cleared with his crunching.
That’s a good thing and I understand.

But why does he come to my garden
To chew on my favorite plants?
The snail can be worse than a beetle or bug
Or even meandering ants.

Now surely I’m smarter than he is,
That small mound of jelly and slop.
But I use all my wiles and my will and my ways,
And still can’t get him to stop.

When he chews on my iris or primrose
That I have so carefully reared,
I attack with an armload of weapons.
Now I am the one to be feared.

His persistence drives me to murder.
I cut him in two with a hoe.
I drown him with beer, pour salt on his rear.
Before a new half he can grow.

He multiplies faster than bunnies.,
And all I can do now is cry.
This snail so tenacious, ferocious, rapacious
Is much more resourceful than I..

The rule is to eat or be eaten
Perhaps he would bow in defeat
If I had a taste for escargot.
It is then my revenge would be sweet.

Premium MemberEarly March

The rain clouds overflow and spill.
I shiver in the wind.
Stooping to pick some springtime,
I bring an armload in.

My house is filled with sunshine,
For on all the window sills
Are streams of golden sunbeams
From my yellow daffodils.

These lovely golden flowers
Are my gift from up above.
For my spring hungry soul, my God
Sends proof of his true love.
