inwardly kind,full of joy
Oiktirmos egratia spoude;
anechomai;
gentle meek;compassionate;
yet in control
Arete, pistis,hupomone
diligent
enduring with patience
gnosis,zezoo phusioo
perpereuomai;
moral ,persuaded
to trust
Hagnotes elpis agape
Tapeinophrosune
persevering,understanding;
not boastful or arrogant;
eusebeia Agathosune aeltheia
blamelessly pure, hope filled
filled with agape love
anupokritos philadelphia;
humble in godliness;charitably good
integral sincere
Dokime zezoo makpothumia
diakaiosune eirene
brotherly kind;
proven of character;
not jealous, but forbearing
set right with God
and at one
There's a lady whom I've never met
as enchanting as the stars,
I know this from her written words
and how she sets the bar.
Of excellence in ideas and thoughts
flowing through her veins
And the way she shares her loving heart
With others like a flame.
Burning bright and beautiful
with her pure, poetic voice
(While falling in love with a stranger
Is nothing but non-sense, of course).
She's got Arete' in Greek, they say
But stupendous works for me,
this fountain of truth and beauty abounds
like a caged bird set free.
Destined to live on the fringes
between all our poetic lines,
where boundaries are blurred and only our words
will outlive us in due time.
Yet still, I can't help but wonder
About this mysterious maven I found
Spreading her bliss as if a sweet kiss
might secretly find me somehow.
FLAWS IN PERFECTION
To judge perfection is to define flaws
Flaws, judged the varicoloured blight
That separates the sameness of humanity
That which makes you - YOU, and I - ME
Where what one individual calls perfection
Another views only as obvious fallibilities
Whee one sees meal, another terms toxin
For one man's meat, is another's poison
Imperfection, I believe, balances sublimity
One cannot be measured without the other
For only by faults can arete be valued
And only in failing can strength be learnt
Only in falling and from mastered faults
Can a being approach exemplariness
Perfection, a state existing only in theory
For every man is hampered by feet of clay.
