Flaws In Perfection

FLAWS IN PERFECTION To judge perfection is to define flaws Flaws, judged the varicoloured blight That separates the sameness of humanity That which makes you - YOU, and I - ME Where what one individual calls perfection Another views only as obvious fallibilities Whee one sees meal, another terms toxin For one man's meat, is another's poison Imperfection, I believe, balances sublimity One cannot be measured without the other For only by faults can arete be valued And only in failing can strength be learnt Only in falling and from mastered faults Can a being approach exemplariness Perfection, a state existing only in theory For every man is hampered by feet of clay.
