I heard many times before
When sad, mothers become trees
They become clouds,
when there is more sorrow
And a rosary,
when they are more sorry
I knew a long time ago,
The Annas and Paisas
That the grand mother carried with her
At the time of partition
Are stale coins now
Like our country and the river Ganges,
The river Padma and Teesta
And like the uncountable families
Mothers are being parted
Exhausted and sacrificed
I have seen many times before
Lighting evening lamps
At holy basil base
Praying before the divine mother
And after immolation of idols
Spraying the holy river water,
Chanting, 'Oh Peace !'
Mothers wish good lucks
And always wish our prosperity
I thought long ago
that Jerusalem via Nabadwip
Is indeed a long distance
And a journey is not possible,
crossing so many nation's border
I saw the mother's womb
And mother Teresa as well
Mothers are God
And become God in the order

Like country, like the river Padma
mothers are being divided and exhausted
And they used to sacrifice
I have seen many times before
Lighting evening lamps at holy basil base
Praying before the divine mother Laxmi
Spraying river water after immolation of idols
And chanting 'Oma Santi' hymns ...
Mothers always wish prosperity
I thought long ago that
Jerusalem via Nabadwip is a long distance
And the journey is impossible beyond border
Yes, I have seen a mother's womb and
Mother Teresa as well
Mothers are God, become God in the Order

Who invented this stuff called money -
Sought by kings and minions alike,
Liked by priests and thieves all the same,
Loved by all the Annas and so interests Mike?
Such a slippery value for which many kill:
A lure of all, the medium of commerce,
Buyer of both pompous evil and pious good
And a swerver of the most intent will?
What stuff is this that even the Bible quotes
As the instigator and cradle of all atrocities
And the panacea to all as the ecclesiast says?
Someone tell me what’s this that rules the cities!
