Ami Poems

Mon Ami

I needed a friend
but knew not what it was;
indeed had never known.
Needed a lesson,
required a teacher
to show, instruct.
She stood on my toes
which were in her way
that day -
damned if I knew why
because I was wined ?
Come and tell me who
understands just what it is.
Period.

Maybe I can help you, troubles to amend.
Maybe as I like to do, write a word or two.
Maybe I can love you, surely be your friend.
Maybe even stand by you, anything for you.

    Let me walk with you, through your newness.
    Let me face with you, times you flee to meet.
    Let a sense of purpose fill your heart.
    Let your soul free, & begin to speak.

    Know the fears that have bound you.
    Know this heart of mine will ease.
    Know the burdens you have carried
    Know these hands of mine will free.

Please open your door, to words I do pray.
Please understand, what I have to say.
Please know we will be lovers, til my dying day.
Please try and live your life, in each and every way.

Meilleur Ami

He's not funny as he can pretend
But he'll be there for you until the end
He'll put you under the right track
By always having your back

He's very hard to find
Because he's one of a kind
The brother that i never had
My one and only comrade

You're the oxygen and i'm the tree
You're the sky and i'm the sea
You're the only friend that understand me
Simply, the other part of me

Mon Ami

A true friendship is the place you go home to
When peace you cannot find.
It keeps a part of your soul
And is never far from your mind.
A true friend will forever forgive you
And never count how many times.
They will teach you how to
Make limeade when all life gives you is limes.
When you are hurting in your own little hell,
No matter how far you may stray,
The truest of friends who knows you so well,
 Will always know exactly what to say.

Mon Ami Fred

I once had a friend in College,
who was a young man named Fred.
He had a funny crazy habit,
of making certain utterances in French,
to pretty girls he hoped to conquer.
One day he met his match in a lady,
who disgraced him without intention.
On that day, he walked up to the lady,
'Bonjour mademoiselle he greeted'
The lady was so happy,
 'here now is a brother,
qui parle Francais beaucoup' she thought.
She answered him with an alluring smile,
Ah, bonjour monsieur, je suis content
que vous parliez Francais
Mon ami was now in a hot soup,
when he knew the lady was no novice,
in what he knew nothing of any use.
The lady rattled on like a parrot,
and asked my friend 1001 questions.
My friend was only smiling like an idiot,
in front of the lady he thought of conquering
I had an ache from series of laughter,
as I watched the unfolding drama of a rascal
who wanted to use what he never had,
to make a fool of some of his fellow men.

For you and I, here is a treat.
It is pink millet jelly that is very sweet.
In clear rice paper, it is wrapped to stay.
Put it in your mouth, and it melts away.
It comes with something for each girl and boy
Included with the candy is a little toy.
It is a little something that brings joy.
It is imported from Japan for you and me.
This nice candy is called Botan Ami

Mon Ami

So long, I dreamed of you
From age one, maybe two

All my life, in total anticipation
I could never part with this fascination

The books, the paintings
The lessons, the cravings

Deep in the human psyche
Your kind has been our chi

In battles all thorough history
Your ancestors lead us
Into victory

The moment I saw
That two year old filly
I knew she was for me

The world stopped
Standing in time
Burning adoration my crime

Bucephalus, Man O' War
The very greatest
Let me implore

None can hold a candle
To you under saddle

Miles and miles
we have rode

As far as the stars
I am told

That Mon Ami
The little bay mare
Answered my prayer

You enchant the sea and sky
For you, my precious,
The Gods I would defy.

Ami

How do I teach one who has fallen
Im a liyer to my self
and to my calling
Never anyone who loves
The music is over
Being wrong all the time never changes
helping only to watch fall
Old and ugly
with no more storys to tell
I never got it right
god help me this will be the last night

Time is my end
sadnees my only friend
the taste of none
Burning as the gods smile
As I never will know my true son

I should have found her

Dans l'autre face de la grande Meditteranee;
Et, avant que je retrouve cette sliver,
Qui ma aidé a rentré au quai des Milliardaires;
Par les grincements des petites roues rondes;
Quand vous avez montré une flip-flop dans l'air ;
Etant bien apprécier ainsi que…des twitchers,
Qui aiment la sérénité et la beauté d'Antibes;
La veille ville, où mon esprit reste à vivre;
Comme juste...une petite nouvelle;
Jusqu’au jour, qu'on ne se retrouve plus à respirer;
Ah voila, le panda à coté ! Qui vous considère comme son aîné ;
Sa caresse et ses larmes pour les bénéficies des autres;
