what the spirit said today awes this here little man
"pray and cry for those who no longer cry,"
if life has dried the source of tears that isn't His plan
for tears come from the heart even when tear ducts run dry
(c) A. Deo, 20170329
NOTE: After I wrote this quatrain, I was in my devotions when I read the question posed by a British giant among pastors, C. H. Spurgeon, "Must Christ pass through seas of his own blood to win the crown [for us, too] while we walk to heaven dry-shod in silver slippers?" He then ended that devotional (quoted by Alistair Begg), with, "Grief exalts us, and troubles lift us up." Amen, amein, and Shalom.

Decorating the tree; a family ritual
Electric lights, ball of color.tinsel applied
With surgical percision...
A family chore of joy...
Generally perfofmed on a Sunday nigth,
Accompanied with "the Wizard Of Oz"
And on Christmas eve,
Laurel and Hardy and "The March Of the Wooden Soldiers",
Followed in the evening,
With Alistair Simmes
'the Christmas Charol";
The most beloved of the Christmas movies
Home made cookies
Excitment in the air
Anticipation,
Family time at it's best. Eggnog,
soda, pretzels, coookies...
Life was better than good.
Life was magical.
And the nuclear familiy
had it's strongest bonds
with thr "stong force"
Metaphysical wonders to be sure,
Memorieries forever to endure,
Love of life and family for-ever-more.
