What the Spirit Said

what the spirit said today awes this here little man
"pray and cry for those who no longer cry,"
if life has dried the source of tears that isn't His plan
for tears come from the heart even when tear ducts run dry
(c) A. Deo, 20170329
NOTE: After I wrote this quatrain, I was in my devotions when I read the question posed by a British giant among pastors, C. H. Spurgeon, "Must Christ pass through seas of his own blood to win the crown [for us, too] while we walk to heaven dry-shod in silver slippers?" He then ended that devotional (quoted by Alistair Begg), with, "Grief exalts us, and troubles lift us up." Amen, amein, and Shalom.
