I have always been a bit wary
of Gary, Mary, Sherry and Larry
They each seem a little bit contrary
Fighting over blue, straw, or raspberry
I took this to Carrie, our head faerie
She thought my query was a tad bit airy
Looked it up in her faerie dictionary
Experts’ opinions appeared to vary
Enter an expert from a local dairy
his name was Smart Guy Mr. Perry
Sherry and I intended to someday marry
But count not agree on the right berry
Next, I consulted my wizard friend Hubert Harry
His preference is for a soft, dainty, pink raspberry
In the meantime. Sherry eloped with my cousin Terry
Now I have no use for them or Larry, Gary or Mary

When youre foiled first time
ply the sirens
on empathetic emergencies
your pain first dawned
like the culling of a bird
When Lions escape from their pit
wearisome statistians ponder
on the risk analysis for folk
When Pythons spoil your sleep
Slip your dreams
in airy onion bags
lunatic like
apron strings
when things go wrong

Varying tactics to deftest tongues,
I find it a futile taxing of tired lungs;
She hears finer tropes with disdain,
And loves lips that deal daring pain.
For fibs she sworn truths exchanged;
At once dazzled by such fiddly verbs
As paint fabled shades of gilded gold,
And cozy castles agleam in airy hubs.
When I say our love shall solidly dwell
Upon fidelity's firm bed of pure candor,
Smooth-tipped rivals juicier idioms tell
Of better treats and fairy Idylls grander.
To blur by guiles and gimmicks worse
Pledged long kiss on meadows green,
Feisty adversaries yet shameless vow
To garnish her with blues' fairest stars.
She in wind-chasing fantasies shuns
Her sincere love to fall for fizzy puns.

The
Fairies
Subterfuge
Watching humans
see...
You
Won’t see
Them for they
Elemental’s
be!
The
Fairies,
You think they
Are imagined
Yes?
You
Don’t want
To see one
They will trap you
Slave!
Don’t
Eat their
Fairy food
Or you’ll succumb
Trap!
Out
They sneak
As humans
Leave the green wood;
Bye!

I go out for walks
once in a blue moon
when I do it’s a warm day
and the sky is many shades of blue
the moon
is just a clipped fingernail
I’m so happy now
I’m over the moon and weather
not under it

Your ideas are fanciful, friendly, airy-fairy.
The five-year-old smiled; this pleased her. She clapped her hands.
So we will use them! She said joyfully.
Not this time, her mother told her, but soon. Maybe next time.
What about a book? The five-year-old asked. Could we make my
ideas into a book?
It would be a fantastic book! Her mother agreed. Let’s get started.
And they did, it was the best book!
And it meant the world to many people, as it was
on the altar, next to the guest book next week when
relatives and friends arrived to honor the family
that had been killed by a drunken driver on his way
to a liquor store.
Two angels, writing a book about two angels.
Airy-fairy for sure.

Abide pure sight of surreal streams,
Incite fond feel to know fine taste;
Rich sensuous light that flirt with dreams,
Yield bright goodwill that charms due haste.
Come to know truth in vibrant ways,
Observe the zest in brilliant fest;
Meet ample proof with tints that stay,
Flood happy jest with wonder's best;
Oblige the mood that flames sure thrills,
Rush of cool air brings comfort here;
Treat all things good with grand appeal.
Note how time flings due happy cheer,
Observe the path with savvy wares,
Work sure enough life's joyful fare.

AIRY MESSENGERS
Serene weightless flight of dandelion
Seed puff-balls : thoughts ascending,
Gestating across the invisible void -
Untroubled, they silently float, glide,
Delivering a concept
On the air measureless
From somewhere else to here.

Seeking The Refuge Of Great And Airy Dreams
Slumbrous my mind glides off into another place
seeking the refuge of great and airy dreams.
Yet always, always appears my darling your face
shining sweetly your bright smile that always beams.
There we walk together on soft dewy grass
our time romancing amongst the ancient trees.
Far too swiftly, dear fleeting time seems to pass
my heart asking for more in sad, futile pleas!
As gaunt shadows race to invade our retreat
time drinks its water from our heavenly stream.
Alas! I can never that racing clock beat
Or hold the glow of our love's softest moonbeam!
I that willfully fight the coming of day.
Beg my soul, in this dream to forever stay!

An Imagined Airy Paradise
Birds fly in the bright scarlet sky,
floating often on spreading wings.
Saddened earth below they happily defy,
on shining clouds gladly resting!
An image burns in an imaginative mind,
earth below seen so many other ways.
Such dreams inspire and serve to remind
heart's joy, love our life conveys!
What of this imagined airy paradise,
scenes that thrill so our hearts
That pleasure in dreams may suffice
despite time lost in waste carts!
