I often wonder if it’s worth the effort
with a keyboard or paper and pen
to pour out my thoughts, heart, mind and soul
from the ocean and rivers within
The marrow in my bones
hidden deep within these veins
“This universe is a miracle,”
I’ve heard Einstein once proclaimed
Though admittedly, I’m not near his kind
(far beyond my likes, by stars)
I merely try to follow those
I think know where they are
A few more miles ahead of time
“Out yonder,” my dad would say
where I can only dream of writing
a splendorous sonnet someday
Or perchance a valediction poem
a goodbye to the past
or my rendition of a benediction
thanking Hymn for all the love that lasts
And open a few doors with some metaphors
enjambment or anapest
find inspiration from alliteration
while striving towards my best
Thus, here I rest in the morning air
inhaling hope, exhaling despair
as birds fly bye and gentle winds blow
and pray more thoughts of beauty will flow

The future is calling, a voice from afar,
A world yet unseen, a distant star.
A place where dreams and visions align,
Where the impossible becomes divine.
Our minds can't fathom what's yet to come,
A world beyond what we've begun.
A new realm of reality to explore,
An endless horizon to adore.
For those who dare to take the leap,
A future so bright, a promise to keep.
And those who fear the unknown,
Are left behind, to thrive alone.
The power of time, a force so strong,
A current that carries us along.
But some will rise, and break the mold,
They'll shape the future, and make it bold.
So let us be the ones who lead,
Far ahead of time, we'll plant the seed.
The world we create will be sublime,
A future vision, far ahead of time.
R-unning to you ahead of time
O-n the fifteenth of July;
L-ooking for a chance to greet,
A-fter the night passes by.
N-ew dawn breaks ahead of time,
D-riving away the rain;
O-pening the day with warmth, after the heartache and pain.
P-aths of steepest hill
A-re too tough to climb;
N-ever though will I linger,
I-'ll arrive ahead of
T-ime.
I walked ahead of time
Thought you would be waiting for me
And last step into the darkness
I knew you would not be there
It was my mistake that I never tried to remember
Yet I never forgot that you never needed me
You don’t need me, I forgot the truth
From with the darkness I was walking tall
To ground in an instant I was, crawling, crying
Begging my heart our for happiness in my life
Begging for you to come back into my life
I felt cold water running through my cheeks
And before I knew more, I was awake
