“The aforesaid five objects, which are the negative attributes of the five electricities, being combined produce the idea of gross matter in its five forms: Ki, solids; Ap, liquids; Tejas, fire; Marut, gaseous substances; and Akasa, ether.
These five forms of gross matter and aforesaid fifteen attributes, together with Manas, Mind, sense consciousness; Buddhi, discriminative Intelligence; Chitta, the Heart or power of feeling; and Ahamkara, the Ego, constitute the twenty-four basic principles of creation.”
~ extract from ‘The Holy Science’
In the realm of heaven, our eye is single
but with no adversities to overcome,
so the one becomes two and then they jingle
propelled by the power of the cosmic hum
and in the five elements they commingle,
ego distanced from heart, though soul is welcome.
Poised thus in subject-object relationship,
we discover God when love is our flagship.
“The Atom under the influence of Chit (universal knowledge) forms the Chitta or the calm state of mind, which when spiritualized is called Buddhi, Intelligence. Its opposite is Manas, Mind, in which lives the Jiva: the self with Ahamkara, Ego, the idea of separate existence.”

Mistaken that we are this body-mind,
we then seek to enhance its well-being,
caring not to become divine aligned,
delusion that prevents us from seeing.
Dwelling in darkness we remain as such,
accepting our assumed limitation
till ceasing thinking, we live life by touch,
rapturous in all time meditation.
Ego is but an earth life interface,
helping soul to navigate this terrain.
Believing we are it, is our disgrace,
yet with false sense of pride we wear this chain.
Shifting into silence, coming undone,
we then realise God and we are one.
“One being freed from the grip of Ahamkara attains his unmanifest state like the spotless moon becoming full after eclipse.” ~ quote from the Adhyatma Upanishad
thoughts seem to arise without volition
but mindful eye traces heart as the source
wherefrom vibrations emoted in morse
seek from mind as symbols, their rendition
desires of heart cause intent’s emission
but is the impulse rooted in remorse
ego-driven, prone to applying force,
unlike vast space that has no ambition
negating transience, our ego recedes
and yet object-free awareness remains
whence stepping outside space-time we then see
self-existent light within which love breeds
representing flame of heart free from stains
made in God’s image, vibrant and carefree
