Disorder in symmetry, crack in the line
Distorted perspective, cubistic design
Sculptures in celluloid wrappings stand by
Amorphous stains on your hands - wonder why ?
Clean them away with the acetone drips
Mix a new color, paint some bright strips
Autumnal wind blew those images down
He is the author, and I'm just a clown.

If I Die, Bury Me With Pencils
My sense of smell is gone.
Acetone is empty air.
The cough
attempts to cut the mucus from my lungs,
expell it from my lungs.
The fibers of the swab penetrated my flesh,
cotton against capillaries;
armies clashed with red and white blades;
sent to Jefferson City,
results unknown for 48 hours
to week.
But, doctor expects it to be
positive.
The x-rays
did not look good.
“Go home.”
“Quarantine.”
“Hydrate.”
“Call 911 at first sign of trouble breathing.”
“Things go downhill fast.”
Mortality rate of intubation of covid cases in New York City is 80%
Obesity increases mortality rate.
I wait for my test,
almost breathless,
but not yet.
Crossing my bedroom floor, I look down
and find an unopened package of papermate mechanical pencils,
the school bus yellow kind,
with the good erasers,
and the turning tip with the spinning spring inside that jockeys the graphite out,
perfect for drawing, writing, geometric constructions,
all the things that free the soul,
all the things where anything is possible,
where good and life flow sunlight
and lungs are worlds away.

Broken as the muggy backyard philanthropy
I'm puking again on another cold morning
The hot arteries begin to pound anxiously
Let myself out again but got a warning
Sit down and cover myself in acetone
Soaking the floor the corners begin to close
Mother goose help me learn to not moan
Let myself out again but she knows
Drain out the fried out fluids once more
Passion is such a great and deep confection
Try to wash out the stain but wake from the floor
Let myself out again but paranoia brings affection
Realize how much I love myself again
Sacrifice my body to the pits of hell
It separates the hate from protection
Let myself out again but my heart begins to swell
Listen to all the poor dying souls
They shine positive and strive another day
I lie face down in my own hot coals
Let myself out again but begin to fade away

From ashes
she rises,
absolving
cleansing,
face, hands, feet.
Four months,
Ten days,
She mourns.
She weeps.
She clothes herself now
in an adornment of white
bowing privately,
praying fervently,
as bitter fumes
of acetone
seep beneath the door.
Her source is god.
Her destination is god.
She pleads with god now
for peace
As men mix and pour
A holocaust
Just outside her door.
Her sisters wail.
They bathe her lifeless arms
And shroud her
as Iris Albicans-
Exotic,
Fragile,
Pure.
The imam, he stands,
Praying silently
As men convey her
towards Mecca.
From ashes to ashes
And dust to dust.
From ashes to ashes
And dust to dust.

Love stinks
Hell yeah
Worse than fire and brimstone.
Love stinks
Hell yeah
Worse than cleaning nails with acetone.
Love stinks
Hell yeah
Stinky love follows me
And that stinky stuff won't leave me
The hell alone!

Cold friction blinds the weak
when pallid hands clench tight
to volatile liquids that
evaporate rapidly
One's body passes off readily
like acetone drops
wading in poisoned waters
and venom solvent drains
putrid addiction,
I purge out duration
in each dying breath
Obsession with an
enslavement to kill,
to run out of ideas
to fail in recovery,
because of fatal substances
replacing the natural mind,
depriving it from oxygen
I lose all with one hit
with one injection,
with one overdose,
consuming all narcotics
to forget the past
and erase any future
with no antidote or cure
I will subside
in unconscious render
to forgive any;
even myself.
