Zen Mode

the flame of awareness
is held steady in silence

what is silence but nonchalance
to thoughts and sense perceptions
transient waves that arise and subside
within this feeble mind-body apparatus

yet this nonchalance is not negation
for negation is judgmental
and we have dropped thought

the orientation of pristine silence
is then simply embrace and release
in playful, joyous, childlike innocence
renewing exuberance in agendalessness

there then thus is no effort employed
for we are, as we are, in our native element
abiding in the luminosity of our true being
