You are a moment before the dawn,
When silence fills the soul,
And, everywhere… there is serenity so warm,
Breathing light into every hope,
Love into every pore of my thoughts,
Love into my every reflection,
Love that gives my whole heart direction.
You are the ache before the storm,
Revealing the trickle of a feeling,
Blessing the moments with your affection,
Erasing the doubts with kindness that sounds…
Like laughter and tears, all the light
Shimmering so it appears to be a spark of joy,
Flowing beyond the grief and woe,
Flowing so the wise will know – love can heal,
Love is real and it will always feel like His blessing,
Raining down on my life, my living –
It really is more than feeling – it is healing.
You are the anchor who holds me in place,
When everywhere I go, my hearts wants to break.
You color my moments in hues of deep grace,
Risking the brokenness, the doubts and despair,
Promising to enlighten me with hope that sustains.
When my life feels like everything is wrong,
There you are – seeking my heart,
Seeing me through the dark, embracing me
When nothing feels like it should,
And everywhere I turn – there are clouds,
Mists of pain reminding me that I can’t – just can’t,
Yet, because of you – the tell-tell moments,
When you stir up my dreams, feed me with light,
Inspiring me to believe, just believe…
I know that I can, because you see…
You’ve encouraged me to just let go of the doubts,
And know that there is a second chance,
Because of you, my friend, I find the answer deep within.
When life feels beyond my understanding,
As if, somehow, I will never last – despite the sunlight’s
Reflecting all the beauty, the blessings…
When life still feels lonely and I ache to see past
The miseries, the despair, the grief…
I look at you and I can see that, yes… this time shall pass,
And, together – with you beside me,
We can weather every storm, know the meaning of hope,
Let go of what was wrong and find the courage…
To reach into tomorrow with a joy that only comes to those,
Who believe in the love that answers every fear,
The love that lets go of all the doubts,
A love that sheds light on the reasons I know…
Love this beautiful will always bring me through the grief.
Love this wise and amazing will forever give me a reason.
Love, love that is meant to be… is love that is like a dream.
Once, I was just a dreamer,
Holding onto my dream – now that I’m with you,
I’m the recipient of love that made my every dream a reality!
