You’ve been a light in the dark
Hope when I was hurt
Faith when I was uncertain
Love when I was discouraged
You’ve been the laughter in my heart
Kindness that raised me up
Sincerity that reassured me
Joy that inspired my thoughts
You’ve been my muse when I couldn’t write
The dream that lasted all night
The whisper of grace when I pray
The insight into my praise
You’ve been the vibrant flash of admiration
The serenity that leaves me breathless
The answer to every fearful question
The miracle who heals my infection
You’ve been the lyrics within my music
The color of laughter so soothing
The echo of freedom singing to me
The shadow of revelation beneath my faith
You’ve been wisdom, strength and passion
The muse that is everlasting
The silence in my reflections
The feeling that heals and accepts me
You’ve been alive with the dance of life
A brilliant fire changing hearts
A easy feeling so honest and wonderous
A inkling into my heart’s greatest mystery
You’ve been my heart and soul
When I couldn’t find the words
My sense of purpose when I couldn’t hope
My answer to prayers so often prayed
For one who would love me through everything!
