The Light
Your illuminating light found me when I
was surrounded by darkness.
It gave me a reason to live when death
haunted my mind.
It caused me to experience joy when
sadness was my best friend.
Your amazing light showed me a love
that I've never experienced before.
It causes me to see beauty in a world
plagued by the ugliness of hate.
Finally, your light gives me a reason to
get up each morning, no matter what
challenges I’ll have to face.
