You Weren'T There

I know you weren't there to see Brandon have a son But we love you anyway We know you're in a better place I know you weren't there To see the sky turn gray When it was a rainy day But we love you anyway We know you're in a better place I know you weren't there To see my face When I got my car On my 16th birthday But it's okay I love you anyway I know you're in a better place I know you weren't there to see Alot of our memories But I know where you will be In our hearts forever And that will never change

My family is from Oklahoma. I'm sure it is of the same family that originated in Germany and when we moved over much of the Heil family split and moved to different areas.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I wrote this poem for my grandmother that passed away in 2005 abruptly from cancer! She was my best friend and I miss her everyday!
