You were our sun Giving us the shine we did not get at home You lifted us up Out of the ditches of our lives You gave us hope We did not believe you at first We thought you were lying to us We knew who we were But you did not give up Inspiring us To become Who we could be Rather than who our parents thought we were

Thank you Hank; this was written in honor of my Mother-in-Law the original "Mrs. Kay" - we loved her so! She taught us music K-11th grade and Humanities (her own curriculum) in 12th grade.
