You think me silly and verbose When love is on my mind… Fickle fickle full of fluff Love sick, crazy, blind Deviant...defiant Sexually overcharged Big picture oblivious And from your life discharged You read my lines and smirk a while And think, “Oh dear, Hee Hee!” But when it comes right down to it You wish you were like me (Women) You'd jump in bed with me (men) It might have a one track mind But of that I am glad Life has enough to bring me down Enough to make me sad I write of love and passion And feelings so sublime You don’t need to read me Nor be a friend of mine! But of this I am certain Of this I’m ever proud Passion is my heartbeat l let it beat OUT LOUD! If you don’t like sultry Want nature writes and such There’s someone else to read So, thank you very much! Eileen Started on this poem some time ago, but left it unfinished. Not in the mood for something new, so I picked this one up and finished it. I don't JUST write about passion and romance and love, but....it is what I love best. I've accepted who I am and I will fight to preserve my identity. I'm tired of a world of people who are judgmental and stuffy....people who don't know how to FEEL and CELEBRATE passion. Thanks for reading.

My wonderful Encantress your passion is what inspires me more oft than not to put pen to paper. And what in this grey world has more meaning and colour than the heart and soul of a beautiful, passionate, woman! You should declaim the joy of your magnificent heart from the highest tower for all to see! Remember that the words of love that you pen, like a handfull of seeds tossed into the wind some will fall on fertile ground to grow and prosper and in their turn declare the beauty of love.

People go a lifetime and never figure out who they are. It is good you know yourself and feel free enough to express that part of your being. I believe it is an important part of you but I see so much more as well.

Of course, there is more, Richard. There is so much more. When you've burned the roof of your mouth...your tongue goes over and over it....soothing it...It's like it says..."This is where it hurts." Sure, there is more to life...but even spiritual matters spring from love and devotion. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is..."Your Maker is your husband." The word for KNOWING God is the same Hebrew word that is used for the sexual union between man and wife. In English the closes word to the Hebrew is CLEAVE. God put these feelings in us....His relationship with us is based on intimacy, not just head knowledge. Yes...there is more to me that passion. Passion translates into EVERYTHING, Richard. Thanks for your thoughts.

I study passion at your feet -- (hey, you have nice feet, I want to kiss . . .) ah, sorry, I am very visual . . . what I was saying is passion is a gift that our creator has given us -- its what makes us human. To love another with our words, eyes, hands, tongue, bodies . . . is a creative act . . . and that, that is what makes your words special . . . we need them -- LO.

:) Thanks, David. Glad you passed by to read this silly rant of mine. It isn't the first of its kind, nor will it be the last. As long a I have breath, I will write about passion and love. I see everything through these lenses. When I eat something decadently sweet, you see it on my face and in my expressions...MMMMMmmmm, I'm enjoying it. My daughter tells me off sometimes, but...it's a natural reaction. :( Wish I were wired differently...I suffer for it. About the pic? Yes....I pulled it sideways to give the lady some.....substance. You don't eat a stake that has no meat on the bone so why shouldn't women be the same? Ok....that's it. Thanks for dropping by.

Poetry without passion, poetry it is not! No matter what we write, feelings should come first! The only one we should please when we write is ourselves then the rest! Write as you feel like, dear Eileen, as long as your passion is there and your heart is burning, there is nothing to worry! Passionate writing!

Yes let us celebrate passion in every way Eileen..for in everything We do passion has an important role.Even something as simple as cooking a plate of pasta taste differently when one does it just to do it.It would lack spices and taste.I do love the way you write Eileen..You are a hot and sweet spice in our soup : )..Hugs.

Thank you sweetie....Not all are as kind and understanding as you. I'm fighting against my confines...cultural, religious, social....I'm tired. Thanks for your compassion. Sometimes I wish I had a heart of stone.

I echo Jan's thoughts, Eileen. You have a style all your own, a hard one to duplicate, if I may say so. We may feel exactly the same thing toward a subject, but our way of expression will always be different. Your love and passion for poetry and life in general speak volumes to us your fellow poets. For that, you have my respect and admiration. Life at Soup is stimulating because of you and many others who, like you, have so much love and passion for poetry, expressed in their own way. You are loved. Hugs!!! Kim

Yes...different ingredients in this soup. That's why we have our favorite poets. I need your humor, Jan...I'm too sappy and depressed. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I need it. I lash out when I'm hurt. Not the right way to behave, I know, but....can't teach an old dog new tricks. Hugs

Thanks, Kim. I appreciate your kindness to me. Blessings. I'm kind of stuck with what to write. I have a rebellious streak in me that won't let me succumb to what the world expects of me. I vent in poetry...I'm glad for those who care enough to understand. Thank you.

We all write in different styles and on different subjects Eileen - to me you are the 'queen of passion and romance' - I try to write with humour - if people don't like what we write - simple they don't have to read it - never change we love you just the way you are!!!! Hugs jan xxx 7 xx

I like your poetry too Eileen. I'm reluctant to post a particular poem I've written because the Soup has a rule against it. Anyway, Good poem -JT
