You Did This

Everlasting vehicles only last so long Broken glass bottles never did belong Pews of people lined in churches Yards of concrete roads God did never grant us what were living on. Blamelessly waiting for a story Shameful hunts for another mans glory Grains of sand in hour glasses Tension between friends Now I live for what I want instead of living for me. Soot being swallowed just trying to gasp for air Hungry children walk alone just need a mother to comb their hair People living without shoes Others live for extras It’s what man kind made of life that is claimed to be unfair

Hi Kelsi, I didn't want this week to pass without congratulating you on having your well-written heartfelt poem featured this week. It was an enjoyable to read and brought silence to my heart as I remembered the tragedy in Hatti. Thanks for sharing and keep writing. Lovingly, Dane
