You are the silence that envelops me in the bosom of the night

You are the silence that envelops me in the bosom of the night, When words retreat into their timid shadow, The sacred interval between the tolling of bells, Announcing the zenith of our misunderstood dreams. You are the coolness of murmuring springs in the horizon, A tranquility that drips pearls of dew at dawn, The dawn which begets hope and knows no sunset, An eternity that embraces all that is my dream and desire. Leisurely, I lean towards the refuge of your name, As the universe gathers itself in an embrace, Dreaming the depths of a thousand silent tides, That would submerge all the emptiness we've gathered. Who are you, whose pallor weeps for me in the distance, In a secret sacrifice for our lost days, Without bending a knee, yet our pride is you, Who are you, the light that burns endlessly? I do not know you, yet you discern me like no other, I, your twilight, the conscience that finds solace, You rejuvenate me with your breath, between words like stars, Renewing the peace between me and my summoner. Who are you, the unextinguished vigil of my wandering being, Guardian of my passages, from root to crown? You are the unspoken wish, forgotten in a corner of the soul, The invisible love that smoothens my tracks in the dust. You are everything that I am and all that I am not in this world, An emblem of what cannot be spoken with any tongue, The unfailing spring that gathers my questions at crossroads, And the answer that comes softly, in the glow of eternal mornings.
