You Are Not Gone I See You In the Mirror In My Reflection

Some 46 years ago my mother died And she is not here But yet when I look in the mirror I see a reflection of her so dear My mother's here Some 35 years ago My father died and he is not here now But yet when I look in the mirror I see him there, here And as I look upon my younger daughter I see my mother And as I look upon my only son I see my father And if I see my oldest daughter I see myself And when the wind blows when I'm standing outside it touches me andaz the wind blows these are the generations of my forefathers my people strong So even though I can't see you so And even though you're physically not here Every time I passed the window pane every time I view a mirror I see you inside of me 3/29/20 Written words by James Edward Lee Sr 2020
