I can't drive your demons away,
believe me, I would if I could.
But, you must battle them alone,
for they're impervious to me.
Try to understand, if you can,
I can't drive your demons away.
For they reside within your mind,
fueling paranoia's fear.
Schizophrenia whispers lies;
till you cannot tell false from true.
I can't drive your demons away,
they will only pretend to flee.
I can steady your trembling hand;
and assure you that you are loved.
But no matter how much I cry,
I can't drive your demons away.
