Yet We Can Truly Change If We But Try

Yet We Can Truly Change If We But Try Are we just dust blown in chaotic winds, Or driftwood snagged around river bends? Ghastly ghosts of a once greater being, Content to crawl along without seeing? Or lost seeds sprouted in ancient dark ground, Whose dying makes not even a loud sound? Here under sorrows and a hiding sun, We oft rip and tear, calling such great fun, Thinking we are in control and much more Existing as nothings, on darkened shores! Racing as blinded mice in shadow dreams, Content to exist within this world's schemes Wailing and moaning as we live and die Yet we can truly change if we but try! R.J. Lindley, July 12th, 1979 Sonnet

Thank you my friend. Your talent is amazingly advanced for such a short time writing. And obvious that you are an extremely fast learner. I am often in awe of your creativity and poetic talent myself. Just keep on creating those gems my friend.

Thank you my friend. I wrote this poem long ago and during that time had just went through some very bad times in my young life.

Thank you my friend. I was in my mid-twenties when I wrote this one.
