The blazing caramel orange, rose-red sunrise
rose behind the horizon teasing, capturing
the ocean's rim, kissing passionately and fervent,
both succumb to hunger; they each have for each other.
They both sing the blessed song of peace.
Beginning each morning with a hot cup of coffee
he sits in silence in a long yearning calm
in a world never empty or silent.
