my words are gossamer, diaphanous and wispy and fragile my lines cobwebs of chiffon, filigree I pen in blood red ink . . . sublime are my thoughts unending rapturous I write into the dark night turning words into poetry from deep within me I pull emotions and bleeding, bleeding from my pen is my brokenness and eternal, forever grief . . . slowly, I remove the red soaked dagger from my heart and the pain is dripping, dripping and the pieces of my heart lay beneath my pen . . . like shards of glass but, I use every shattered fragment all those pieces that are me and in time I have used each piece each one each one for I have found a strength unfathomable . . . in writing __________________________ July 04, 2022, Edit and Repost Poetry/Free Verse/writing words gossamer Copyright Protected, ID 07-1474-040-04 All rights Reserved, 2022, Constance La France Submitted to the Premiere contest, 2022 Poetry Marathon, Mile 8 sponsor, Mark Toney, Judged 07/20/2022

Hi Constance, I'm working my way through your poems and found this gem to be also uplifting and warm. It's hard to describe what a poet endures to get anything written. You sent me to the dictionary with "diaphanous" my new fav word! Be well Paul
