Writing Upon God's Love
“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Romans 5:5 of the King James Bible.
I write upon the love of God, my life’s anchor
propping me to be graciously steadfast
cheering heart amidst grievous pain
upholding faith delight
despite challenging turmoil tribulations wring
that hinder my testimonial praise.
Exalting Saviour’s mercy keeps me ablaze
revived in expressing, “to HIM I cling”
blissfully grateful for His light
while secured with peace gain
triumphantly vanquishing skeptic mocking blast
victorious against greed-caused rancor.
Asserting Christ’s compassion over hate canker
my poems lift up those who are downcast
praying for wondrous joy to reign
appeasing woes and plight
believing that Almighty cares as Father King
always reaching-out with His loving gaze.
