World War Ii
When I was a wee lad of five
The second world war had just begun!
What a world to wake up to
Was this how it was supposed to be
A normal introduction to planet earth
Soon realized this was not normal
The broadcasts on the radio
Referred to it as something deadly
Not the way things were supposed to be
The world can't possibly be this bad
Guess I had it all wrong
Had a more positive opinion of planet earth
No matter how many million died
