Words - Alouette

WORDS - ALOUETTE Nightmares in my skin; Scourging deep within. Blood and bones sizzling abreast... Aged tired nerves plead from words carving bleed to screams of cruel arrest. Head like tomb stillness chaining rock stiffness. Iron hurt span rumbling din. To endure, my gong, stopping a torch song. This poem could be interpreted in so many ways dependent upon context. I see fear and pain, for sure, but on a deeper level I hear a cry for help. Stopping a torch song is a nice metaphor, and the inclusion of a gong crosses many cultural references in my mind. If this is indeed for a contest, you will give the judge something to wrap his or her mind around ! :) I send my love and adoration, Olive !

Powerful words can either be sweet dreams or worst nightmares... To which in my poem I chose the bad careless spoken words...

All of us one way or another have different unique ways to accept such words.. Some choose to speak up but some chooses to maintain calmness and quietness to prevent any untoward consequences though/yet within isn't...

Thanks much James.. What I hope that readers will understand from this is that how words can greatly effect any individual... As some words hurts that some pleads to not hear it and more with such intense utterance some even have arrest as in extreme emotion
